Chapter 29 When he woke, Sartin’s head throbbed worse than when he woke upon Maru’s island. At first, he thought it was night because it was so dark, but soon his eyes adjusted to the small streams of light that came through the cracks in the walls of the hut where the men had taken him. Sartin didn’t remember ever sleeping so heavily. He heard the songs of his people in his head. His mother’s song rang clearer than it had since Sommar had rescued him from Maru’s island.
