Xenia’s slip was intentional, seeing as it was my doing.
I’d used my mind to make her lose her balance since my unwillingly done research showed that catching a girl in your arms dreamily was meant to strike romantic emotions on her part. Thekla had nearly chewed my ears off for not having made any romantic impact on her and so I’d come up with this cheesy plan to introduce some romantic energy into the mix.
