WHEN HE LOOSES CONTROL

576 Words
didn’t expect him to lose control. I didn’t think it was possible. Not for someone like Kael. Not for the Lycan King. But I was wrong. It happened suddenly. Without warning. Without reason. One moment, he was watching me. Studying me. Testing me. And the next— He moved. Fast. Too fast. My back hit the wall before I could react. A gasp left my lips as his hand came up beside my head, trapping me in place. The bond exploded. Violently. But not painfully. Something deeper. Stronger. Raw. “You’re changing too quickly,” he muttered. His voice was different. Rougher. Less controlled. My heart raced. “I don’t know how to stop it,” I whispered. He stilled. Just for a second. Then— His forehead almost touched mine. My breath hitched. “Maybe I don’t want you to,” he said. The words hit harder than anything else. That night— Everything broke. The bond didn’t just pulse. It surged. Uncontrollably. I collapsed to my knees, gasping as heat tore through my body, stronger than anything I had felt before. “Kael—” His name slipped out without thought. Without hesitation. Without fear. And that was the problem. He was there instantly. Like he had been waiting. Like he had been watching. Like he had been listening. Always. His hands were on me before I could react. Lifting me. Holding me. Steadying me. And for the first time— I didn’t fight it. I leaned into him. Fully. Completely. My fingers gripping his shirt as the bond roared between us. “It’s too much,” I whispered. “I know.” His voice was low. Close. Different. “Make it stop,” I begged. Silence. Then— “I can’t.” My breath broke. “Then what do I do?” His grip tightened slightly. “Endure it.” When the pain finally faded— Nothing felt the same. I was still in his arms. Still close. Still… held. And this time— Neither of us moved. The silence between us wasn’t empty. It was full. Heavy. Charged. Irreversible. “You didn’t pull away,” he said quietly. My heart skipped. Neither did you. But I didn’t say it. “I was tired,” I replied instead. Lie. Weak. Unconvincing. He didn’t call it out. That was worse. His hand shifted slightly against my back. Not controlling. Not forcing. Just… there. And somehow— That made it harder to breathe. “You’re not the same Omega who walked into my territory,” he said. My chest tightened. “I didn’t have a choice.” “You do now.” My breath caught. I looked up at him. Really looked. And for the first time— I didn’t just see a monster. I saw something else. Something dangerous in a different way. “What happens next?” I asked softly. His gaze held mine. Intense. Unyielding. “Now,” he said slowly, “you learn what it means to belong to me.” The words should have scared me. And they did. But not enough. Not anymore. Because something inside me had already shifted. Something I couldn’t undo. Something I didn’t fully understand. But something that felt— Permanent. And as the bond settled deep within me… No longer just pain. No longer just fear. But something far more dangerous— I realized the truth. The rejection didn’t destroy me. It changed me.
