Chapter 8 : The dissolution of our group...

900 Words
It was blurry... Yet I remembered everything. Still, I looked like I had forgotten something important in his last years but it turned out to be nothing interesting. A new friendship was starting between me and Alexander. I didn't know if I was the first or the last person to have seen her smile during her life... However, I still kept the hope that one day I could see him again... A lot of things have happened since my meeting with Alexander. Once, Alice came to visit me on my tenth birthday. She had become longer than me. But other than that, she hadn't changed at all. There was also a big party organized by my family to celebrate the end of the studies of my big sister. It was during this party that I finally learned the reason why my sister had decided to stop her studies. Cassie was soon to be married to a man I had never known. Rhine and Rina had to stop their studies because of their family business. Their father happened to be the owner of a large circus and independent amusement park. The twins had to work there because it was a family affair. Hence, each member of their family had to work there from generation to generation. Rina and Rhine had started their trade in their father's circus as acrobats. They had become very famous in no time; since they were so beautiful and of great agility and flexibility and above all they were both always perfectly synchronized. It was very hard to believe that Rina and Rhine were two totally different people. They were beautiful, though, because of their work. We rarely see each other. I was going to forget a detail about the twins... Rina had decided to color her hair orange; because over time, Rina's hair had ended up having the same colors as her sister's. Already that Rhine had decided to let her hair grow like her sister's. It was difficult to recognize them from a distance. As for Anna, she had to repeat a year in fifth grade. She had had a lot of trouble with her parents for some time. Mainly because of Anna's secret. Anna's father had been unfaithful. Her father had cheated on her mother with her best friend. Broken by this, Anna's mother had no choice but to leave Anna's father. She had decided to leave, leaving her daughter with her unfaithful father. So, I was always trying to cheer her up ever since. I tried my best to help her in everything I could, whether it was: helping her with the bakery, giving her money, making her sleep at my house when her father was drunk. I wanted to show Anna that no matter what, I will always be there for her. Alexander, him, at first, after class. I always went to see him with the girls either at the river or in the cabin. The girls and I had never entered the Diamonds mansion. Even though Alexander had already invited us several times. We preferred to stay outside than inside because the mansion scared us quite a bit. Alas, shortly after, following Anna's problem and the fact that the girls often left for work. I was the only one going to see Alexander... Until I couldn't go there like the others because I had more time to play or chat because of my revisions for my exams. Without knowing that Alexander was waiting for us every day without knowing the exact reasons why we weren't coming anymore. One day while on my way home with one of my classmates. I see Alexander appear out of nowhere in front of me. Which startled me and my friend. As usual, he laughed before apologizing to us. My classmate thought he was my boyfriend. Suddenly, she decided to go home alone, leaving me alone with Alexander without listening to any of my explanations or justification that between Alexander and me there was nothing. - Sorry if I screwed up, he said to me, laughing at the situation. - It does not matter, I answered embarrassed. On the road... I kept looking at Alexander very nervously. Silence had fallen between us; so I wanted to break the ice by looking for a topic to discuss. But in the end, it was he who had taken the first step. - I thought you had forgotten me, he said looking at the sky. - No!, I replied, the girls and I had some problems lately. That's why we no longer had time to be together or to see you. - Ah, I see, he replied, I'm going to come out of the forest more and more to see you, so that way you won't have to worry about finding time to come and see me... - Don't feel obligated... It pains me a little to hear you say that... - Don't worry. I have to go out often... Besides, the mansion is starting to suffocate me a bit lately... - OK that works ! - By the way, from tomorrow I will also study in your school with my girlfriend. Faced with his words, I stopped. He looked at me with questioning eyes. I was in shock... - "Since when does he have a girlfriend?", I thought. And when I entered my house, I was totally devastated.
