2 weeks later

my parents love that i am following my dreams and i am a paramedic now 

i must say life has been great and i am glad that Draven has left me alone i couldnt be anymore thankful for the fire station and all they have done for me 

i am so glad they took the chance and hired me on the spot this job is great and i love saving all the lives that i can

its been very busy but nice to work here we dont get much down time and i am seeing first hand the amount of drug addiction that we have with in the city its a shame to see so many people struggling with addiction and not many will get help even after they have over dosed many many times

*what are you doing bell* Jack says 

*Just checking the ambulance to make sure its completely stocked and we are ready for when the next call comes in, Kasey needed to get a shower since the last call she got puked on* i say trying not to chuckle

*Ah i see can i help you with anything*  he asks me 

*i am just about done but thank you.* i say

*Bella i actually would like to ask you if you would like to go with me to the christmas ball* jack asks 

christmas is over 1 month away its only november 2 i am unsure why he is asking me i havent ever heard of the ball yet

*Uh i would love to but why are you asking so early and what ball is this that we are talking about* i ask

*Its the firemans christmas ball, we have one every year we all bring a prestent or many presents to dontate to children who may not have any on christmas there is paramedics, firemen, drs, nurses, and improtant buisness men and women its a big deal around here, last year we donated over 10,000 toys to kids in need* he says 

*Jack i would love to go with you. when is it* i ask

*December 1st we are both off shift that day.* he says with a smile on his face

some how we managed to have the same days off and the same days on shift 

not that i am complaining because i do enjoy having him help me and he is always sure to make sure i am safe and i wont complain its nice to have someone care for me 

over the past few weeks it has been going good i have learned alot about Jack and neither him or i have had s*x yet but i honestly feel like we are getting closer 

Jack and i have started dating as of yesterday and everything is going very well Jack has been staying at my house every night since Draven made the threat because i just dont feel safe

the bell goes off and we are disbatched to a fire at a machine shop the fire is fully involved and many are reported to be trapped/injured

we race to our trucks and head to the fire once we arrive i see many people running frantic and screaming there is more people in side 

i jump out and start helping people as fast as i can to attend to everyone who needs assistance 

*help me!* a man is screaming who clearly has burns on his arms and one leg 

i rush over to help him and see what i can do to treat his wounds until we can get him to the hospital 

we notice there is 50+ people with burns and people who need medical attention i know we need to set up tarps to sort threw the people from critical, moderate, severe, mild, and minor 

we rush to get them set on the appropriate tarp

*Mam there is a man bleeding really bad, there was an eplosion and he is stuck on a piece of metal into the wall* a man is mumbling to me 

i know that if the man is bleeding bad and he is stuck then i have to get into the burning building 

*Jack, there is a man in the building he is stuck to the wall by shrapnel and he is bleeding very bad i need to get into the building to secure the shrapnel before we can move him safely* i tell jack threw the com

*Bell its not safe* jack says 

*Chief i need to get in there please* i say

*Gear up Bell and i my self will get you to the man* chief says 

*ok thank you* i say as i run to grab a fire coat pants and boots all of them are huge on me but i cant complain i will make this work

i put my facemask on as we get close to the fire and i rush into the fire with Chief on my side 

*Fire department call out* Chief yells

*over here* a man yells 

we rush towards his voice and we see 3 men 1 is stuck to the wall by shrapnel and he is losing alot of blood he is unconsious 

i hurry to the man and his pulse is weak and i know i have to help him now or he is going  to code 

i hurry and get an iv in him and i start to secure the shrapnel that is threw his torso dangerously close to vital organs 

once its secure Chief cuts to free him from the wall so we can get him out of the burning building once he is free 

chief, me and the 2 men all help to carry out the man he is a bigger man so it takes extra hands 

we are carrying him out when i hear a loud bang and thats all i remember

*bell, Bell BELLA WAKE UP PLEASE BELL* i head Jack shouting 

*My legs are stuck* i say

*we are working to get you free now bell just stay with me* Jack says as him and others are all working to get me free 

once i am free Jack scoops me into his arms carrying me out side he rushes me to the ambo 

*Kasey help her please* Jack shouts 

*Jack i am fine* i say

he places me on the bed and before i know it they are putting me into the ambo and rushing me to the hospital 

once at the hospital it is determined that i have severe brusing and 3 broken fingers and a gash on my hip none of it will keep me from working i am aloud to work next shift but have to take today off and thats alright with me since there is only 3 hours left on shift and then 2 days off before next shift 

after i am discharged i head home to rest and wait for Jack to finish his shift to come home 

i know i shouldnt of went against Jacks oders but i needed to help the trapped man and that was the only way i could help him was from inside the burning building i am fine and i will still be fine tomorrow i jsut hope jack can understand that he would of done the same thing if the roles were switched
