Erik Quinton’s farm was a literal farm. There were fields far and wide with small patches of forest that probably homed plenty of wild animals. However, as Naomi drove onto the cobblestone road toward the ranch in the distance, all I could see were cows to my left. Goats to my right. I spotted some sheep as well as some horses. I was overwhelmed by it all, especially since it was my first time being at a farm. When Naomi drove right past the ranch, I was confused. “Shortcut,” she muttered.
