Chapter one: The sad princess
Usually, the royal castle would be noisy and full of life. But, as Helena Knight, the only princess of that castle, walked on, there was no one. Her song rang throughout the cold empty halls. She sang because Sara, her only friend, and handmaid would not be with her tonight. It seems like each day that passes, her father would let more and more people go. He said it would only be for a little while because money was short. A poor royal castle is unheard of and something she couldn't get her head around. She would try to ask her father questions as to why or how we got to this point. He would say that she is a princess and that she should focus on her princess duties. Also, to continue singing for the people and the royals when they request it. She didn't mind that because singing was one of the few joys she had. People would call her the royal songbird. Not something she would call herself, but if it made her people happy, she didn't mind it. Her sad song came to an end as she looked out the window of her room. Her eighteenth birthday was coming soon, and she had a weird feeling that she couldn't shake. Something was about to change, and she prayed it was for the good as she closed her eyes for the night.
