Chapter Two

878 Words
Aaliyah raced down the stairs, hearing the front door open. Signaling her 16 year old brother was home. She squealed, running quickly. She wanted to go back to the park to get her dolly. When she saw her brothers brunette, almost midnight black hair, she squealed. “Bubba! Bubba! Can you bring me to the park again?” She asked, stopping in front of her brothers as she jumped up and down in excitement. She heard her brother let out a chuckle. “Sure sis. Let me get ready first, okay?” He asked her with a smile plastered across his face. “Okay! Okay! I’m gonna go get my sneakers on!” She piped up, her brown hair now in a high loose bun with a golden cat ear headband on top her head. Her brother nodded and began to walk up, as Aaliyah raced to the front door. A shoe rack stood next to it with everyone's shoes. She quickly scanned through them before finding her nike sneakers. She smiled to herself and quickly grabbed them before sitting herself on the ground. Quickly, she undid the knots before sliding them onto her small feet. She then double knot it, making sure it didn’t come loose. She then stood up from the ground. Aaliyah swayed back and forth, back and forth. She did then for a good five minutes before she saw her brother, now dressed in a plain black shirt with ripped jean skinny jeans and high tops. “You ready?” He asked, walking up to her with a smile. Earlier when he was getting ready, he had called his girlfriend, Katherine, and told her to meet him at the park because he had to bring his sister there. “Yeah!” The younger brunette squealed, jumping up and down. She watched her brother swing open the door. She quickly rushed out, a giddy smile on her face. She waited impatiently for her brother as he closed the door and locked it behind the two. The two siblings began walking to the park, getting there in about ten minutes. But if they slowly walked and not speed walked, it would have taken over 25 minutes. Once the two reached the park, before the two could even walk a step in, Aaliyah ran into the park and towards the child playground. This time, only a group of boys and girls were playing. 2 girls and a boy. She smiled knowing she most likely won’t hear a lot of yelling. Quickly, she found the entrance for under the slide. She squeezed through the gap and walked threw, only to see the boy from yesterday sitting there, her doll in his hand and fixed. Aaliyah smiled and sat in front of him, a smile still on her tan face. “Hi Matti!” She spoke, getting his attention, due to the fact that he perked his head up and smiled. “Hey Ayah!” He smiled as he outstretched his hand, the one he had the doll in. Aaliyah smiled bigger, if that was possible, and gently took the doll into her arms. She made sure that she was fixed, before gently placing the blonde doll down and wrapping her arms around Matthew. He yelped in surprise as she hugged him. Gently, he hugged back with a smile. Soon enough, she pulled away before speaking. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!” She squealed, picking up the doll and hugging it close to her chest. “No need to thank me! That’s what friends are for” He chuckled, and finished his sentence. “Plus, when I saw you crying about the doll, I knew I had to fix it!” He spoke up with a smile on his face. Aaliyah smiled happily, as she placed the doll now on her crossed legs. “Wanna meet my brother?” She asked happily, hoping her brother approved of her friend. Due to recent friends he was overprotective over his eight year old sister. Before Matthew had a chance to respond, Aaliyah had grabbed his wrist and was trying to pull him up. “Come on! Come on!” She squealed, happiness laced into her voice as she finally pulled him up. “Okay! Okay, I’m going!” He laughed as she dragged him through the gap and to the swing set that Lucas and Kat were sitting on. “Bubba! Kattie! I made a new friend!” Aaliyah squealed in delight, pulling the boy with her and stopping as they came in front of her older brother and his girlfriend. “Oh? Were is she or he?” Kat asked, happy that the younger girl made a friend that wasn’t one of her brothers friends. “Right here!” She spoke up happily, motioning towards Matthew with her hands. “Nobody's there A?” Lucas spoke up, confusion hinted in his voice. “Yeah! He’s here! Matthew’s right next to me!” She spoke up happily. But as her brother began to talk, that’s when she realized that her friend. He was not real. Only in her imagination.
