“What do you mean they can’t see you!” The eight year old huffed in annoyance, not wanting to think her only friend is not real. “They can’t see me Ayah. Only you can” The young sandy blonde haired boy sighed softly, shaking his head. “D-Does that mean...we can’t be friends because nobody can see you. So they don’t think I made a friend!” She replied out, sitting under the yellow slide as she store at the boy who was made from her imagination. “We can still be friends. They just can not see me. Plus, if they do not believe you made a friend...Doesn’t mean we can’t be friends!” He spoke up, sitting in front of the brunette haired girl. She nodded, looking down slightly but still looking at her imaginary friend. “Promise?” She questioned softly. “Promise what A?” He asked, tilting his head to the side. “To be friends forever?” She asked softly, her voice only getting softer as she spoke. “I, Matthew Smith, promise to Aaliyah Jemma Ruff that we will be friends forever. Through thick and thin, through the bad and good. Until the ending of life!” He promised, sticking out his pinkie finger and looking at the girl. She smiled and hooked her pinkie with his. “I, Aaliyah Jemma Ruff, promise to Matthew Smith that we will be friends forever. Through thick and thin, through the bad and good. Until the ending of life!” She promised, shaking her finger with his as they pulled there hands away. The boy smiled at Aaliyah. “Now, what do you want to do?” He asked her, standing up as she spoke. “Swing on the swings?” She asked, knowing her brother and Kat were off them and walking around while talking. “Sure, let’s go then before someone gets them before us!” He smiled as the two raced off, squeezing through the gap and racing towards the swing set. When the two of them reached them, and each of them sat in them. The two began to swing on the swings. To a regular person, one of the swings would not be moving and Aaliyah would be talking to the air. But to the eight year old, the other swing was moving and she was talking to Matthew while swinging. Soon enough, a group of boys and girls, this time consisting of a 10 year old girl and a 13 and 14 year old boys. One of the boys began to sit in the empty swing, making Matthew fade slightly. Aaliyah’s eyes widened in fear as she squealed. “Hey! Don’t sit there!” She spoke up, as she stopped swinging. “Why? Nobody is sitting there?” The girl asked, tilting her head in confusion at the younger girl. “Someone is sitting there though! My friend Matthew is!” She spoke up, not thinking about the imaginary thing. “Nobody is sitting there though!” The other boy spoke up, the girl chuckling a little. “Jason, move. It’s her friend Matthew. He’s already sitting there!” She spoke up, getting what the girl meant. She once to had an imaginary friend named Kimberly. But she called her Kimbi or Simba. The boy who was going to sit on the swing, or better known as Jason, stood up from the swing. Aaliyah saw Matthew let out a sigh of relief, which made the air fly a little as he faded back to his imaginary ordinary self.
