SundaySunday morning arrived bright and clear with the promise of a new day, a new week, and a new future for the runaways. Megan rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed, searching for her constant companion. Then she remembered that Sammy had begged for Barney and Gypsy to spend the night with her and Toby. She had agreed, making the youngster squeal with delight. She smiled to herself as she realized that she did not have to be in any hurry to get up to let the dog out or feed him. Paul would have those chores this morning.
Aiden and Megan had spent the night at Charlotte’s house, going over their plans for today. Paul and Lucy had been more than happy to take the two kids and dogs back to their house for another evening.
