Epilogue
Christmas MorningThe last few weeks until Christmas flew by. Everyone seemed to be involved in their own special project and a lot of secrets were kept by all.
The FBI and the sheriff’s office both had solid cases against Nickerson, and were working on bringing him to justice. Aiden took a special interest in a few of the older kids, making sure they remained out of the judicial system. Since they were over 18, they were pretty much on their own, and afraid of what the future held. Aiden worked with some of the shopkeepers in town and procured jobs for a few of them. Zoe found a rooming house to stay in. Megan was the one to hire her as an assistant to the overworked Janice. Aiden held high hopes for her, and would keep an eye her as she adjusted to life on her own.
