Prologue.
Eric ambled down the stairs, with the help of his mother's left arm. As they walked down, he stretched out his available hand to the stair handrails, enabling his hand to slide freely on it, creating a screeching sound. It didn't bother Mrs. Colefield. Eric was fond of it. He had, also, always admired the paintings and decorations on the wall. The interior designer had done an outstanding job. However, as Eric adored the glamorously decorated wall, he came across the family picture that was hung on it. Every step he took down the stairs, He passed a family member's portrait. Despite his lateness to lunch, he halted for a moment and stared at his grandfather's portrait. Mrs. Colefield wondered why her son paused his walk, then she spoke out audibly, "Why did you stop? You're late for lunch, your food is getting cold". But, notwithstanding the seriousness in her voice, he ignored her. Eric's eyes were still fixed at his grandfather's picture. "Eric?" Mrs. Colefield called out his name, hoping that her five years old son wasn't deaf. Suddenly, Eric freed his hand off the handrails and pointed out in a distance, his grandfather's picture then pointed at himself on the chest. Mrs. Colefield was stunned. Is my son ill? She questioned herself in her thoughts. However, Eric repeated the gesture. When Eric had noticed the intense confusion in his dear mother's face. He decided to make a statement. He stretched out his left arm to the hanging portrait of his grandfather and said," Mr. Harry Wilbeth, one of the best puzzle gamer", he paused, examining his mother's face. Perhaps, he had drawn her out of her worries. When he thought, he had accomplished that, he resumed his speech, " Is me", He told her, pointing at himself on the chest. Mrs. Colefield was bewildered. She had never mentioned any information that pertained to her father to Eric. Perhaps, she would chatter with her son after lunch to know his source of the information. Mrs. Colefield nodded her head in response to what Eric had said and they continued their walk to the dining room. On getting there, they all took their respective seats at the dining table. Eric's father had been waiting for them before he could launch his meal. "Let's pray", He mumbled, after he had seen that they were on their seats. " Yes, always pray", Eric stated. But, Mrs. Colefield was even more frightened. Those were the words her father used in response to that. She tried to wave off the thoughts. Mr. Colefield muttered a short quick prayer and the second he was done, a knock was heard at the front door. That, single knock made a better attempt to wave off Mrs. Colefield 's thoughts. "I'll get it", Mrs. Colefield said, pushing her seat back which enabled her to get to her feet and leave. Eric and Mr. Colefield were left having lunch peacefully when they were disturbed by the sound of a loud and friendly conversation. As Eric dished into his Macaroni and cheese, his best food, which appeared to be his grandfather's best meal, the chatter grew sharper and nearer. Mrs. Colefield and her supposed friend we're heading to the dining room. When they had gotten in, Mrs. Colefield and her friend let out a wide smile. It was certain that Mrs. Colefield was excited to see her. However, before Mr. Colefield could welcome her with a speech, Eric uttered out : " My daughter, Cherry Wilbeth", He announced to them. Leaving them speechless. Nonetheless, The minute he spoke out, he resumed his meal. No one had ever told him anything that related to Mrs. Colefield's younger sister. And he had just referred her as his daughter. Could he be reincarnated?
