“What the f**k”?
Aurora was greatly stunned by the sight before her. What was supposed to be a residence was instead a mansion. A mansion was an understatement.
In front of her was a Château, a statue of an eagle at its forefront, and a staircase leading into the castle itself.
A butler was standing at the entrance of the castle, with both hands on his back. A black raven hair with a few white strands showing his age, a neat black butler's suit, and glasses on his eyes.
Aurora walked to the entrance and stopped before the man who gave her a calm look.
“Your name?” he asked.
“Aurora”
“Aurora, my name is Stefan, I am the butler of this household. Please do follow me to get to know your quarters.” The man spoke kindly, prompting Aurora to raise an eyebrow. He walked into the castle while she followed only to be more shocked by the castle's interior.
There was a huge chandelier hanging from the tall ceiling casting a melodic view of the interior, a grand staircase led to a segment where it was divided into three.
One on the left, one on the right, and the other went up, “The male quarters are on the right, whereas the female quarters are on the left, above is the master's balcony,” Stefan spoke.
“The dining room is down the stairs in a different room on its own, while the guest room is also downstairs,“ he continued.
“Your duty as a maid starts effectively. You follow the head maid and do all the chores assigned to you,” he spoke while introducing a lady to Aurora.
“Aurora, meet Lady Cassie, the head maid. I leave it to you, then lady Cassie,” Stefan excused himself to tidy up other needs.
Lady Cassie, a mature lady in her early 40s, scrutinized Aurora, then addressed her,” Your duty is to take charge of the cleaning of the master's bedroom,” she spoke, turning around seemingly not interested in Aurora.
Aurora fumed with anger because she could grasp where things were heading to, but she already decided she wasn't going down without a fight.
After being shown the master's bedroom and allowed to settle in, early the next day she got up and attended to the master's bedroom.
Two days went by with Aurora doing the work apportioned to her, but she noticed something odd, the master had not been at home for the last 3 days now.
Thoughts began creeping into her mind on how to elope. She made a plan to sneak out of the mansion when it was bedtime so no one would see her.
On that night she was supposed to elope, after climbing down from the balcony.
“Crip”
Aurora dove into the bushes while hearing the sound of a breaking twig. Slowly she raised her head but couldn't see anyone, then she got up and ran as fast as her legs could carry her to the back of the castle with hope of running into the forest behind it, and maybe finding her way.
But then, right before the entrance of the forest stood a man calmly smoking a cigarette. She froze in her steps.
“Going somewhere?” The man asked while slowly turning to face Aurora.
She could have sworn she saw his eyes shimmering red, but she dismissed it as a result of the adrenaline rushing through her body at the moment.
Not that it matters now anyway. She was caught and needed to think of a way out, but the next second she froze.
Walking close to her, she couldn't help but let anger leak out as she stared at the handsome man walking towards her.
His hands now in his pocket, a black top hugging his body thereby showing his toned muscles, raven black hair and an aura of dominance.
Alledandro took unhurried steps till he stopped in front of her, looking into her eyes.” Are you going somewhere? I ask again” Alledandro spoke now, giving her a menacing stare.
“And if I was, what are you going to do about it?"
