Vedh Balon turned around and looked at his wife. She had tears in her eyes, and as he looked at her, she turned her head to hide her tears. He sat at the edge of the bed, near her head, gently caressing it.
"Ashu, I couldn't stop myself from investigating the incident. I knew someone must have tried to harm you, and I was right. In my absence, she had the audacity to come and do all those disgusting things. I hate her," he explained in a low, deep voice. Ashu Davies didn't react, she just continued shedding tears.
"You and our son are the most important people in my life, and I can't bear to see you in trouble. Don't cry. Everything will be alright."
