Ashu Davies stood up from the bed and made her way to the balcony. The slight chill in the air made her hug her chest, and she let out a sigh. Raising her head, she gazed at the sky above.
"Laksh... Why did you hide the truth of your illness? Why didn't you tell me what was wrong with you? I would never feel guilty about marrying you, even if I had known the truth. I could have done something for you," she whispered, her eyes filled with tears. She tried to steady her breathing, not wanting to cry or be sad because she was pregnant and Vedh Balon had sternly scolded her against any harmful emotions for the sake of the child.
