She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but when she awoke the next morning to a completely empty house, she cried. It hit her like a ton of bricks and she didn’t initially know what was the matter with her, but as she melancholily floated from one empty room in the large villa to the next, she realized she was looking for something that she knew was no longer there. The number of times she sighed as she packed her tea was exasperating even for her. But she found she didn’t much feel like working, or planting, or any of the things she was doing while Liam was there. Oddly, she found she would much rather just be sleeping. Completely unconscious and void of knowledge of the ongoing events surrounding her. She was tired, drained of emotion, and physically lethargic. A little rest for a day or two
