Kela was horrified when she seen my bloody and battered face. She was even more horrified when she seen Brandon’s dead body sprawled out on the floor. I packed Chloe’s clothes and went into the stuff tiger where I hid all the money that I earned and gave Kela the twenty thousand I had put aside for Tre and Chloe.
“Take care of my babies Kela,” I said, hugging her close. I didn’t want to let her go but I had to. Kela cried kissing me on the cheeks. “Tell Tre that I’m sorry, I tried to do right Kela. I really did.”
