I gulped down the guilt I felt and moved back, letting space distance us. He said nothing and watched me with curious eyes. As much as I admit his eyes were beautiful like orbs of amber burning in the night, I didn't like its constant attention on me. We were parked in front of my home. The neighborhood was silent. The night sky did not have a star, a sign of a pending storm. My eyes darted towards the moon. It shines brightly but the clouds conceal its light, playing hide and seek with us. Even with the cloud hiding its fullness, the moon was beautiful. I felt unknown feelings stirred within me. It was a full moon tonight and the realization knocked the breath out of me.
