Part 14- First Date

7:30 on the dot there’s a knock at her door. Chloe opens it and Jules is standing there with a red rose. He hands her the red rose and ask if she’s ready to go. “Aw you’re so sweet, let me put it in water and I’ll be ready”. She invites him in while she grabs the water. He stands and waits for her by the door. Chloe walks back over to Jules and they leave. There’s a driver waiting for them and he takes Chloe to a beautiful candle light dinner. They have fillet, salads and expensive red wine. The food is served looking like a work of art and cooked to perfection. During the meal, he ask about her family and she asked about his. She finds out he’s an only child and his name is short for Julian. He learns that her parents died in a car accident when she was 18 and she was also an only child. They finish up and Jules pays for the meal, Chloe offers to help pay but he doesn’t want any part of it. Jules ask Chloe if she’d like him to walk her home or call for a driver. “Walking and getting to know each other more would be great” she replied. They walk slowly to make it take longer. “What was it like growing up in France?” Chloe ask. “My parents were strict, but France is a beautiful place. Maybe I can show you around one day”. “I would love that”. How about growing up in NYC?” “I didn’t grow up in NYC, I moved here after my parents died to be closer to my aunt, I was raised in Virginia. I miss it some days.” “I haven’t been to Virginia, maybe you could show me around someday. I only travel for business to big cities. I need to take a vacation from work. I find myself needing relaxation.” “I need a vacation too”. They approach Chloe’s apartment building. “Would you like to walk me inside” Chloe says looking down. Jules opens the door for her “after you” and followers her inside.
