Part 1- This wasn’t an ordinary day
It was a normal morning for Chloe, her phone alarm clock ringing at 5:45AM. She covers her head with her pillow wishing she could sleep just 5 more minutes, but she knew she had already slept as long as she could without being late for work. She makes her way slowly to the coffee maker, starts the coffee and heads to shower while the coffee brews. She brushes her teeth while waiting for the shower to warm up. She waits and waits for the hot water, only to find that she has no hot water again. She thinks to herself “I pay $2,000 a month for this 2 bedroom apartment in New York and this is the 5th time this year this has happened”. “Well since I don’t want a cold shower, I’ll dress causal today” she says to herself. She throws on her black flats, a yellow dress and puts her hair in a ponytail. She continues to rush around and finish getting ready for work. She grabs an apple, her purse, and work brief case, pours her coffee into a to-go cup and heads for the bus stop. As she walks up to the bus stop that she has been coming to at the same time almost everyday for 6 years now, she hears her text tone go off, while juggling everything she’s carrying she tries to read it and spills the coffee down her dress. Embarrassed to get on the bus now, she goes to the back of line and tries to hide amongst the people waiting to get on the bus; when suddenly she sees a face she hasn’t seen around before.
