Claire's Point Of View "He's so stupid, right?" Prince said and I just rolled my eyes at him. "He is not, okay?" Saad ko. Nakita ko naman ang pag-iling niya. "Stop defending him. We both know how stupid he is." Sabat naman ni Liam. Napairap na lang ako. Pinagtutulungan ba naman ako. Nakakainis! "Hindi nga kasi. Bakit ba ang kulit niyo?" Naiirita kong saad. "Ilang beses nang nagawa ni Zion 'to?" Tanong pa ni Liam. But I just remind myself to be silent. A minute of silence I finally speak. "What?" "How many times has Zion been cheating on you?" Tanong ulit ni Liam but this time he speaks in English. Pwede naman kasing tagalog eh. Nakakaintindi pa naman ako noon. Parang sira. "I don't know," I mumble but enough for them to hear. "You don't know? Or can't count?" Saad ni Prince na siyang kinaisip ko. Aaminin kong, this is not his first time cheating on me. I wonder if he already asked his mistress to go with him to the hotel. That's not impossible. Hirap maging tanga sa pag ibig. Nakaka bulag. "Wag na nga natin yan pag usapan. Nakakainis lang everytime we talked over him." I said as I continued to eat my food. We are here at the cafeteria. We are schoolmates. Nahiwalay lang sa akin yung mga kaibigan ko. Because they transferred in the different school. "Whatever," Prince said as he ate his own food. I can feel that someone is staring at us. Those sharp eyes. It gives me a shiver down my spine. But I just ignored it unbothered by those stares. And besides I already knew who that person was who was coldly staring at us. I don't know if Liam and Prince were aware of that stare. I saw Liam and Prince whispering to each other. I can't hear them. It seems so confidential! Prince cleared his throat as he spoke. "Your ex was staring at us," Prince said. But I just keep my cool. I knew it was him but I decided to ignore him. "I know," I uttered unbothered by what he said. "You don't care?" Liam asked me. "Yeah. I do not care, Liam." I said as I smiled at him sweetly. But my smile vanished when someone grabbed my wrist tightly. I saw Zion. His jaw moved aggressively, as he held my wrist tightly enough to leave a mark. Liam immediately held my other wrist. Liam's face had no expression. His jaw moved aggressively. "Remove your hand from her." Liam coldly said on Zion. But Zion didn't listen to him. "No. Why would I? I think you should be the one who removes your hand from my girlfriend." Zion said as he pulled me towards him. My head was leaning on his chest. "Excuse me?" "You are excused." Zion sarcastically said as he kept pulling me towards him. Naghihilahan lang silang dalawa. Ano ang akala nila? Lubid ako? Nasa isa silang palaro? Nag hihitakan. Ang sakit na tuloy ng braso. Bwisit yung mga yun. "Bitawan niyo nga ko! Masakit na ah!" I said to them. Liam let go of my wrist but Zion didn't. When Liam let go of my wrist, Zion took that advantage and pulled me towards him and kissed me. One thing I'm sure. Liam punched him. Liam punched him while Prince was holding my wrist. I saw the blood drip on Zion's nose. But Liam continues doing that. Nahimasmasan lang ako nang may dumating na teacher. Guidance teacher. Dali-dali ko namang nilapitan si Liam para pigilan. "Liam. Tama na yan." I said while holding his shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Claire was right, Liam. Mayayari tayo pag nakita nila tayo." Prince uttered as he pulled him. To get out of his top. Liam stood up and walked away leaving Prince and me here at the cafeteria dumbfounded. Prince and I just look at each other asking where Liam is going using our eyes. "Take care of him. And I will find, Liam!" I said as I started running away from the cafeteria. I start roaming the whole university just to find Liam. I go to the Garden, Field, Gymnasium, and Classroom. But one place I didn't go. A rooftop. Yun ang laging tambayan namin nina Prince at Liam, kaya sure akong andun siya sa rooftop. Di na ako nag-aksaya pa ng oras at dali-dali na akong pumunta doon sa rooftop. Hinihingal kong narating ang rooftop. I started roaming my eyes and I saw Liam leaning on the wall with a cigarette in his mouth. Dali-dali naman akong tumakbo para kunin yung sigarilyo sa kanya. Sa pagkakaalam ko, ang brand ay Marlboro Light. Kahit hingal na hingal at kinakapos sa hininga dahil tinakbo ko ang pitong palapag, ay nagawa ko pa ring kunin ang sigarilyo sa bibig niya at tinapakan iyon para mawala ang upos. Liam looked at me as his fist clenched tightly. "Why did you do that?" Malamig pa sa malamig na wika ni Liam sa'kin. I just sigh heavily ready to scold him. "Ang tigas talaga ng ulo mo. You shouldn't smoke because it's bad for your health. Maybe you will get lung cancer because of that stupid cigarette. Tita, already stopping you from smoking, Liam." I said as I leaned on the wall beside him. "I am only using a cigarette when I am mad." He uttered coldly. "Why? Are you mad?" I asked him curiously. "It wasn't obvious? I am mad." He said as he took another cigarette from the box as I threw it. "Why are you mad? Ang gulo mo, Liam. Ang gulo-gulo mo." Naiinis kong wika sa kanya. "Ako? Magulo? Ikaw ang magulo, Claire." He said. Ginulo niya pa ang buhok niya. He will do that if he is frustrated or what. "Ikaw ang magulo, Liam. Ako na nga 'tong nag-aalala sa'yo, ikaw pa ang aayaw." I said. "Dahil natatakot ako na baka walang meaning 'yang kinikilos mo na 'yan, Claire." He said without looking at my eyes. "Ewan ko sayo, Liam. Apaka gulo mo." I said before start walking away from him. I heard him sigh heavily before I left the rooftop. Leaving him alone. Nakakainis kasi siya! Ako daw ang magulo samantalang siya 'tong magulo sa aming dalawa. Hay nako na lang Ezekiel Liam Cruz
