Chapter 49 For the past two days, I’ve possessed a prominent place in Samantha’s study. I am sprawled on her desk. No encumbrances like shelf mates. No travel to tolerate. No new Humans threatening to remove me from my home. Just the occasional command performance when Samantha picks me up and re-reads a section or a chapter to compare me to the script of me. I have friends to talk to, a quiet and warm home removed from salivating dogs, and a Human who appreciates me. I believe this is bliss.
