Chapter 7
“Is this a f*****g joke!” Janice screamed through tears as Jared told her the other reason that caused his suspicious arrival.
“I just found out about this, two weeks before I got here Janice, I swear,” Jared said, trying his best to convince the woman that he loved that he was telling the truth. Just to see the tears fall from her eyes was enough to hurt Jared to his core.
He never wanted to be the one to cause her pain. Instead, he wanted to be her rock, the one that comforted her through any pain she endured. Even though he knew it hurt her to hear this, he knew he had to go on.
“I hooked up with someone in June of 2012, and the baby was born on March 25, 2013,” Jared continued wearily, waiting for Janice’s explosive reaction as he watched the tears stream down her beautif
