Finishing up, she walks out and goes to the club. As she gets to the door, the man there smiles at her.
"Well, hello, Candy. How many dances tonight?" She smiles up at Kian. He is a great door guy.
"Two tonight, Kian. You should really come in and watch one." She winks at him as he opens the door. Walking in she goes straight through and starts getting ready. She stands looking at the wings. They are beautiful.
"Everything okay in here ladies?"
Melodie turns and smiles at Ethan. "We're all good thank you, Ethan."
He nods smiling. "Well, you know where the stuff is if you need it." He walks out, the other women talking and getting ready. Melodie stands up, looking at herself in the mirror.
"Damn, you look good." She turns and laughs at Kirsty, who the guys call Crystal. "Honestly, you pull off the look far better than me, maybe it's the wig?" She smiles as Melodie simply nods. She has to admit she has fallen in love with the wig. Long white and blue dreadlocks, perfect. Standing, she walks to the stage, her nerves kicking in as Ethan winks at her and steps closer, his hand moving to her back.
"You have got this, but you know if you need something it is here, right?"
Melodie nods, smiling. "I am good, thank you, Ethan. Not my thing, plus I think I would worry after taking them that I would have a bad side effect and then won't concentrate on the dancing."
He nods, stepping back. The curtain opens as she walks slowly onto the stage.
Jax walks into the club, sitting at the bar. The bartender looks at him.
"Back already?" Jax simply nods, not answering, watching as the curtains open. Ethan isn't at the usual club, so maybe he is here? Jax sits, watching as the woman walks out, his eyes gliding over her body.
"Is that?" He turns and looks at the guy behind the bar.
"Candy, yeah. While she is amazing with fire and a sword, God, she is an angel in those wings." Jax simply nods.
"The wig?" He watches, wondering if that is something she always wears.
"That is her own wig. She insisted to the boss that she and only she wears it if he wants her to dance." Jax simply nods, watching as the woman dances on the stand. The black leather studded bra looks fantastic. Jax's eyes move over her body. The thigh-high PVC boots help make her look even better. "Somehow, she suits that mask. I mean, let's be honest, it is the sort of thing you would only see in an underground dungeon, but hell, it just makes her look hot." Jax sits listening to his words, his eyes trying to scan the room for Ethan but always ending back on Candy. He watches as she dances, moving to sit on the edge of the stage. Her body moves as she sits, clearly trying to tease the guys watching. Jax turns his head, looking for Ethan. This is useless. Something about Candy draws him in, like a damn magnet.
"So, who owns this place or runs it then? I haven't seen anyone looking like the manager walking about."
The guy simply taps his nose and winks. "We don't discuss the boss. Very few know who he is. He comes every now and then, but typically once the show starts, he leaves unless there is a new dancer he is worried about."
Jax nods. Hearing a scream, he turns and sees Candy with a guy grabbing her leg and trying to pull her off the stage. He watches as the bartender takes out the radio.
"Kian, get your arse in here! Some i***t is grabbing Candy."
Jax looks towards the exit, his eyes rolling. "I will sort it." He gets up, rushing to the front. Candy tries to hold onto the pole as the guy continues to pull at her legs, his hand grasping her underwear. Jax gets closer and senses Candy freeze. Is she scared of him? He walks over, pulling the guy back. His eyes glance at Candy, his body tensing.
"God damn you, Melodie! What the f**k are you playing at?" He steps onto the stage and grabs her, his arms throwing her over his shoulder as he steps down and carries her towards the door.
Kian stops in his way. "Dude, don't make tonight worse for me. Just put her down. She isn't a toy."
Jax laughs as Melodie screams in his arms, fighting against him. "No, she isn't, and you better hope to God her dad doesn't find out you had her dancing on this stage basically naked."
Kian looks at him confused. "Candy, do you know him?"
She continues screaming, fighting against Jax.
"Yes, she knows me. Now move before I break someone's jaw."
Melodie gives up fighting, knowing it is useless. Why the hell is he here? She feels Jax moving. Clearly, Kian walked out of the way.
"I'll call the boss; we have a space to fill." Melodie looks back at them apologetically as the door closes, her body quickly thrown into the car.
