Odette’s pov Tears rolled down my cheeks as the guards dragged me out of the room. “Alpha, please don’t let them take me away.” My voice fainted in his chamber as I was dragged into the cell. The walls seemed to close in on me. The room I was taken to was cold, damp, and stifling. The dim light came from a barred window too high for me, and there was no fresh air as I struggled to breathe. I knew being a person of truth would cost me a lot, but I never expected it to lead me to a cell. I clenched my fingers against the metallic door.
