I cracked my eyes open to see that through the opening of the cave came the warm glow of sunlight and chirping of birds. My whole body ached, but I felt lighter than I did yesterday.

I was apprehensive, every time I felt my mark it hurt, the wounds still trying to scab over as I continued to bleed and they were constantly infected, oozing with pus.
