(5) GOING TO CAMP

That kiss was amazing. I've never been kissed before today and I never thought it would be that mesmerizing. I always thought it would be gross and disgusting and I thought that those who did it in public were indecent people. I've been told that I'm just jealous, that I don't have what these people have, but if I'm being honest, I really thought it was gross. That was until today when an Emmete came into my room and kissed my lips full of passion and love. I never thought I'd feel this way, and now I do for the mystery boy that goes to my school. His lips were so soft it felt like I was in heaven and when he held his hand on my face the touch was so caring, he was cautious. My soul left my body and I felt light. I couldn't feel a thing, it's like he took all the feelings of stress and pressure away. It only lasted a few seconds and then it ended, but it was bliss, pure amazing bliss. When he pulled away, I felt like I lost part of my soul, like his lips were meant to be on mine, and without them, I wouldn't survive. I was fighting for survival. I didn't know how to feel about anything anymore, and why was I thinking this way? I don't even know this man and yet I'm acting like I could never live without him. I'm going crazy and I'm afraid it might be a cause of destruction in my life. I've been working so hard to accomplish so much and I cant. No, I won't let one boy ruin my life over a small kiss. I have to get out of this camping trip so that I don't have to face Emmete. With that, I went to sleep and I figured I'd talk to my mom tomorrow.

Waking up: morning time

The sun was shining through my window like it was trying to look into my soul. There was so much sun I could barely see. I got up out of my bed and I closed my curtains so I wouldn't go blind. Then I left my room and went to my mom's room to see if she was home. I peaked in and I saw her sleeping. I decided to go downstairs and make some food. I made fried egg sandwiches because it's my mom's favorite. I spiced up her plate with a bunch of fun decorations and then I put the food on a plate and I walked upstairs, opened her door and I approached. "Good morning mom, can you wake up?" I asked her. "Yeah, what do you want, flora?" she said. "I made you your favorite," I said. I showed her the plate, and then I helped her sit up. "ooooh flora, this looks yummy. I can't wait to dig in," she said. Once she was sitting up, I placed the plate in her lap, and I went to take a seat on a chair nearby. She was staring at me while I went to take a seat."Mommy, I don't feel comfortable driving to camp with Emmete. I feel like he has bad intentions," I said. " Oh, is that so? and can you tell me why? " she asked. "I can't really say why I do, it's just a feeling that he gives me," I said. "That's not good enough now. Get out, kid," she said "Mom please". "No your going at the end of the story. Now go get your brother," she cut me off. I was very, very mad. I left her room and I went to Mark's room so that I could get him going for the day. I absolutely hate that I have to go to this shity ass camp Mark was already up. I told him to get his stuff and to put it next to the door so it would be ready to go. When Emmete arrived, I went and did the same thing with my stuff. I got my suitcase pillow and blanket. I packed them into a bag and then I got a smaller pillow and blanket for the car. I figured that the best way to avoid conversation with Emmete was to simply go to sleep after finishing up in my room. Mark and I went downstairs to eat just as I got done serving our dishes. There was a knock at the door. "It's open" mark shouted, the door opened and in came Emmete as well as his kid brother. "Oh hey, kyle, I didn't know you were coming" he said. "Yeah, I was hoping to talk to you about that," said emmete. "What's up?" I said. "the cabin your staying in will have three bedrooms I was hoping kyle could tag along and stay with you at your cabin with you" emmete said" mark looked at me with the biggest eyes "yes absolutely that's fine" I said. "Yay," kyle shouted. I offered them to join breakfast they were more than delighted, and before I knew it, everything was gone, but it was super tasty. After finishing our meals, we packed our stuff in the car and we got on the road. I sat up front and pulled out my book. It's a five-hour drive all the way there. Emmete said he was gonna have to make a few stops on the way there for the bathroom, which would make it last longer. I'll be asleep the entire time, so I don't care at all. I started reading my book and before I knew it, I was out. Sleeping came very easy and I was super comfortable. When I woke up, I felt the car stopping. We were at a rest area. It was humongous "hey sleeping beauty" he winked after he said beauty. "How far have we got left?" I asked. "We have three hours and ten more minutes. I thought we could stop and stretch our legs," he said. "You guys go ahead. I'm gonna stay here," I said. "Great, I'll have some fine company while we watch the boys play," he said with a big smile on his face. I fake laughed and told the boys to have fun while they played. I looked out the window and watched them get out and run to the open field. They ran around like wild animals "flora. How was your school year this year? He asked. I looked at him. Gosh, why can't I just have peace? It was pretty much the same as every year" I said. I didn't ask him any questions and went back to looking out the window. The boys were still playing mark was on the swing and Kyle looked like he was showing Mark how to swing. It looked like he had a good way of doing it. I felt a spark shoot through my body out of nowhere. I looked at my leg to see Emmete's hand resting on my thigh. "Why don't you like talking to me", he asked. I looked up at his face and felt affection for, and from him. What the f**k is this feeling? What is wrong with me? "Emmete, it's not that I don't like talking to you but that you came out of nowhere and surprised me with your sudden interest in me. I didn't even really know you existed a few days ago and now I'm in your car going to your camp. I don't mean to be rude, I'm just processing." I said "I understand and you should know that I don't plan to hurt you. I'm going to do better to hold myself back, I promise "he said. I nodded my head and just stared at him. I didn't know what to say to this. "I'm gonna take a walk and go play with the boys", I said. I exited the car and I started walking to the playground. I noticed they weren't there. I called their names "Mark..., kyle... where are you? I yelled" there was no answer. I figured that maybe they were hiding. I knew how much Mark liked giving me a nice little scare, so I finished walking over there and I looked around. It was so strange. How could they have just gone missing like this? I walked around the area and looked everywhere. I went into the shelter and called their names. I was starting to get really worried. "This is not funny guys, I'm worried. Please come out" I said. There was still no answer. I could feel my face starting to tense up as I thought of all the possibilities. I ran back to the car and told Emmet what was happening. He looked furious. He quickly opened the door and yelled Kyle's name. It was really loud. I could feel it in my body. "stay in the car and I'll go find them", he said. I listened and I got back in the car, locking it so that nobody could come and try to hurt me.
