I stood in the doorway wondering what idea rex had that could possibly make it more appealing to drink blood, and watched him rummage through the cabinet pulling out a blender tazz must have quickly caught on because he walked to the freezer and pulled out a bottle of alcohol as well as a strawberry flavored mixer and a bag of ice as rex carried the blender to the island in front of the kitchen counter tazz met him there with all of the things he had grabbed. I hate to burst your guys bubble and ruin your idea but I don't think a drink is going to make it easier to drink blood I gagged out, just wait rex said walking to the fridge and grabbing a pack of blood out of it he ripped it open with his teeth and took a drink handing it to tazz who did the same while I tried my best not to hurl. When Tazz had a drink he poured the rest into the blender adding ice strawberry vodka and the dark red strawberry mixture, I flinched in preparation for how loud the blender would be rex must have noticed because he quickly said wait don't focus on the sound or it will be to loud focus on my voice instead he said before giving tazz a thumbs up and rex began softly humming very quietly, I focused all my energy on listening to that and the blender sounded just a little louder than normal nothing like the popcorn, Tazz blended until it looked like a thick strawberry slushy then he poured them into two glasses sticking a straw into them he handed one to me and one to Mel. I smiled at Rex that worked.

I know he said and eventually you will get used to it and not have to pick a sound to focus on and you will just filter in everything at a normal volume and be able to use your enhanced hearing for far away conversations and things like that, he answered. okay try that rex insisted pointing at my drink,I shuddered but complied taking a sip. It was amazing the best thing I ever tasted I could taste the blood in it but it has a bitter taste that was somehow still sweet and mixed with the sting of the vodka my stomach felt more full than it has all day but also just got very warm as I continued to chug down my drink before I needed a breath and I felt a little dizzy as I stopped drinking it for a second dang Tazz how much vodka did u put in there I said as I took a small stumble back it's not that rex answered you are now a vampire you could drink that whole bottle and not be drunk just slightly inebriated it's from the blood. I nodded so blood has the effects of alcohol. Got it rex laughed actually much more effects but some are similar. I will let you have that.

I took another big sip of my drink just as Melony sat hers down empty on the table wiping her mouth see Ren you'll definitely get over the sight of blood makes me queasy thing super fast and that will help with your schooling to u can start to study more in the science lab and not just in books being a behind the e scenes scientist was beneath you anyway Mel rambled. I shook my head I hadn't even thought of school I had the weekend off so I am good for today but how would I return now would I be able to keep science my major I had no idea on how vampires acted around blood normally the guys seemed fine but they also said some vampires just go around draining body's. I guess I very rarely went into the lab anyway and I can avoid it until I know how I react but it would be nice to be able to be comfortable in the lab and do more of my own research. So you are in college, Rex asked, I nodded. We both are I am a science major and Mel is a superstar and going to be a detective. Well that was the plan we can go back right rex flinched you definitely can't until after the change is finished but it might be better to wait even longer after your training when you can control your abilities as well as have gotten used to the constant hunger. Some vampires do struggle with the hunger and it makes former friends look very appetizing even if you are not a feral you can still struggle with control but if you are a feral then you will have absolutely no control until they inject you to treat it to keep you from spiralling until you turn into a killing machine with no other thoughts than hunger even after treatment vampires with the feral gene have to work extra hard to control the hunger so training and finding coping mechanism can be more of a process. I nodded feeling the disappointment I really didn't want to lose my goals and everything melony and I had worked so hard for, rex must have seen it on my face is there a way you guys can do online classes for the time being and tomorrow morning when we go to the center we can try to find other options. Okay I said smiling Melony smiled gently at me I know she didn't want to give up all the hard work she had done either. All of a sudden I got very hot my face and body felt like they were burning I fanned my face Melony said yeah I did just get very hot in here tazz chuckled nope I would guess that healthy dose of blood is speeding the change up while blood does make you a bit warm I'm betting this is the beginning of the next part of the change.

what you say we get a quick swim in before the cold comes he said wiggling his eyebrows? I picked out something I would love to see you try on he teased Melony she laughed a little well I'm not turning down a nice cold lake feeling like this she answered following him to his room. I also got you a bathing suit well actually a couple to choose from let's go pick one out he said offering me his hand to follow him up the stairs I took it, we walked into his room he rummaged through the bags we had stuck in the closet coming out with one bag he sat it on the bed and walked over to a dresser I looked in the bag immediately a white bikini with little jewels all over the top caught my eye I grabbed it out looking at the bottoms there were not jewels all over it like the top just one on each side where it connected at the waist I looked up only to catch a glimpse of rex's bare muscles ass as he bent over putting his legs in a pair of swim trunks I trailed my eyes up his back with the most mouth watering lean muscles to wear he has a tattoo of a sun right at the top of his spine below his neck I think I started to drool just at that moment rex turned around catching me staring. I quickly jerked my head the other direction making him laugh I ran to the bathroom carrying my suite and quickly shut the door without saying anything I began changing when rex knocked on the door what's the matter Ren hide to change after you were ogling me while I changed, I scoffed well ur the one that just changed right in the open instead of going to the bathroom I finished adjusting the bikini making sure it was covering all of the important bits and opened the door to rex he immediately stopped laughing and teasing looking at me I felt my face heat even more and wrapped my arms around my body. Rex cleared his throat he walked back over to the closet and returned with a big fluffy black beach towel he offered it to me and I gratefully accepted and wrapped it around my body.

We walked down stairs Melony and tazz were already waiting Melony was wearing a black bikini the material was sheer it looked almost like netting the only solid parts where two tiny triangles in the middle of the breast and the front of the bottom as well as just the middle strip of the back the rest completely see through. Mel saw me looking at the suit and she grumbled. I said the same thing I don't mind showing a little but this is a bit much even for me. I laughed. It looks good though you are pulling it off. I looked up at Rex expecting him to be looking at Melony but his eyes were already on me. I smiled you guys. Yeah race ya Mel blurted going to run but taking off in a blur she stopped so fast that the speed she had built up just in a second made her topple forward somersaulting over herself before landing on her butt I giggled once I seen she was fine, well I wasn't expecting that she laughed let's have a redo now that I know I got the speed she insisted. Alright I laughed let's try it she blurred back up to the door standing next to each other on your mark get set go rex said from behind us we took off Mel was just a blur and I ran with everything I had but it just felt like my normal run in just a second Melony was to the lake and I was just at the beginning of the yard just out the door. I don't have the speed I yelled to the lake pouting a little bit I squeaked as suddenly I was picked up flying through the air faster than I had ever moved suddenly I really was flying in the air not through it before falling with a splash into the water I quickly suffered to see rex laughing he had picked me up used the freaky speed then launched me into the lake. You could have killed me I yelled, he laughed harder I absolutely could not have killed you by throwing you in the water that would not even have killed a human it might have hurt them but it definitely didn't you. I huffed he was right I definitely was not hurt he started slowly waiting in the cold water felt amazing I leaned back a little sinking a little more into the water. I waited until Rex was almost to me before I started splashing franticalling soaking him the rest of the way he laughed, picking me up and spinning around before quickly dunking me under the water. I popped back up laughing a little I half heartedly splashed him a couple more times, so can u swim freaky fast to how about I show you he said pulling me by the arms up against him, hop on my back he said I did wrapping my legs around his waist and holding on to his shoulders. I tried to ignore how good his hard body felt against mine before he took off making me wrap my body tighter to his. I don't know how he was swimming with me on him but he made it look effortless.
