The Billionaire's Family Contract is the story of Sophia Summers, a determined single mother struggling to make ends meet after her life is turned upside down by a series of personal and financial setbacks. When she is approached by the reclusive billionaire, Alexander Knights, she finds herself in an unexpected and unusual situation. Desperate to provide for her young children and her family also facing mounting debts, Sophia is offered a lucrative contract she can’t refuse: a marriage of convenience with Alexander, who, due to a medical condition, cannot father children. In exchange for a hefty sum for her debts and mother’s health, Sophia agrees to be his wife, living under the same roof, playing the role of his wife and portraying him to be the father of her children in public, while remaining free to pursue her own career. What begins as a business arrangement soon takes a complicated turn as Sophia gets drawn into Alexander's world of power, wealth, fame and deep emotional scars. Beneath his cold, controlling exterior lies a man battling his own demons, and as Sophia becomes more involved in his life, she finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about love, trust, and the cost of security. As sparks fly between the two, Sophia must grapple with the fine line between duty and desire—fighting for her own submissive person, while grappling with a growing attraction that could change everything. But with their contract set to expire in five years, Sophia wonders if love, loyalty, and respect from a man are truly beyond her reach, or if the man she’s learning to care for is more than just a billionaire with a broken heart.

CHAPTER 1.
The earth's population is over eight billion people, out of this are over three hundred and thirty four million people who claims the United States of America as their home while over three million of that population are occupants of Los Angeles, with these statistics in mind every average human below the age of ten already has his or her own problem to deal with, be it homework, chores, school, friends, relationship, responsibilities, work or business, everyone has something on their mind tugging and almost making you lose your mind. I am Alexander Lux Knights, I'm thirty two years old, I have a twin sister (Alexia) who is a mother of two, my parents are great examples of a power couple who trained their kids with love and respect. I am the CEO of my own group of companies worldwide LK Industry with a net worth of twenty billion dollars , we specialize in the Oil and Gas sector, I'm also the President of Xavier Limited with a net worth of one hundred and fifty billion dollars, the company was founded by my father and passed down to me when I graduated, Xavier Limited specializes in making and selling of Automobiles and their spare parts. Lastly, I'm also the President of Knights Group a company started by my great-grandfather which has been passed down to me by my father also with a net worth of three hundred billion dollars. Knights Group specializes in the Healthcare and Insurance sector, Real Estates and Tourism Sector also. I have been named businessman and sexiest of the year six years in a roll by Forbes, my looks speaks for me if I do say so myself with the perfect eight pack abs, well sculpted face with bright blue eyes and my jet black hair, it's enough to get the women orgasm with just a look. I'm Ruthless and Unforgiving when it comes to my work and family, I don't give second chances in the face of mistakes, I live by my rules and I'm above every one. I was once a sweet man, who fell in love and was always smiling but it all changed when I found out the extent humans can go to keep your fortune for themselves. I was married to my ex-wife Nora Fisher who was my sister's best friend immediately after college, we've been dating since highschool and I was so in love with her and I trusted her, she was from a wealthy family as well but not as wealthy as mine it was natural to think she wasn't with me nor my sister for our fortune and she's a model so it was normal to be someone famous also. We were married for three years and had no kids to call our own. I love children so I was eager to have mine when my sister started her own family, but Nora and I weren't so fortunate to have one even if it was proven medically that we had no issues, we were both fine. We resorted to pills and Nora was against artificial insemination because according to her it means we are not medically alright which I found no problem with but my love for her was greater than my reasoning so I accepted. We were always going for checkups in my family hospital monthly no changes. It all changed when I went on a business trip in London two weeks to our third year anniversary. After a 72 hour meeting with breaks in-between I had a migraine so I went for a checkup in our London branch. Five years ago…………………… I walked into Knights Hospital medical wing in London with my trusted bodyguards and assistants behind me as my shiny black shoes makes no sound, I just got off an extensive 72 hours meeting with little breaks in-between and few minutes of sleep the price I pay for my fortune and my wife must not be aware of my developing migraine because I promised her a trip for our anniversary next week, so I decided to get myself checked out before going home. “Good evening, Mr. President, what can I help you with today?” Dr. Lewis greets as he walks up to us in the lobby, dressed in a blue suit and a stethoscope in his left hand and right hand extended for a shake. Dr. Lewis is the Chief of Medicine here and he's married to my sister. “Lose the formalities Mark, we are family. How is the demoness and her spawns?” I said after shaking his hand, we continued our walk towards his office. “My children aren't spawns Alex and my beautiful wife is an angel,” He responds with a knowing smile. “If they're making you say these things, you can always leave them here and move to any branch or even take a break. I will cover for you.” I grinned, taking my seat and crossing my legs for comfort. “I will never. How is Nora doing?” He smiled taking his seat in front of me. Mark's office is a spacious room, with a patient bed on the side of the wall, a hand sink beside it, white wall full of diagrams of various organs and pep talks while his desk is littered in organs prototypes, files, pens, notes, laptop, landline and pictures of his family. “She's fine, she doesn't know I'm here and I will love to keep it that way which means not telling my sister.” I replied with a hint of command. “Doctor-Patient confidentiality Alex,” he said, not losing the smile on his face and I nodded in response. I told him about the migraine and he ordered some blood work to see what's happening, we sat and continued our gists while waiting for the results. An hour later, the results were sent to him “I just received your results,” after a notification beep from his laptop stopped our conversation, he opened it with a smile and a few seconds into reading what's on his screen his smile disintegrated putting fear in my heart. “What does it say, Mark?” I called out to him trying to rid my voice of the vulnerability that came with it. He picks up the landline on his table, dialed a number not taking his eyes off his screen “Is this correct?” He spoke harshly, he listened for a few seconds and dropped his head dejectedly “I understand, thank you” he dropped the phone with a heavy sigh and looked at me. “Buddy, why are you taking Antidepressants and Chemotherapy drugs?” He asked, looking sad. “What do you mean?” Confused, I replied. “Your blood work came back, your blood is filled with Antidepressants and Chemotherapy drugs that's what's causing your migraine.” He explained. “How is that possible? I'm only on vitamins, Alexis is on it also.” I said, my sister and I have been on vitamins since high school. It was just for precaution. “The tests were run five times for authenticity, Alex,” Mark said. Does he not believe me, I reached for my suit jacket inner pocket to pull both bottles of pills before dropping them in front of him. “These are the only pills I have ever taken aside from fertility pills during my second year of marriage and a few paracetamol for headaches.” I told him. He picks up the bottles to examine them then he opens the first one and removes a pill to check. He placed the first pill on his table in confusion and did the same to the second bottle and pill. He opens his table drawer and takes out two similar bottles, he pops them open and takes a pill from each bottle still in confusion. “Who fills your prescriptions for you?” He questioned in rage not taking his eyes off the four pills on his table “Dr. Liam, why?” Curiously He picks up his cellphone, scrolls through and puts it on speaker. The sound of rings takes over the quiet room after the fourth ring, a voice picks up “To what do I owe this honor, Chief Lewis?” Dr. Liam said. “I am told you are the one in charge of President Knights prescriptions,” He went straight to the point, skipping formalities which unlike him, I adjusted on my seat tensely. “Of course, Chief Lewis. I refill them personally, I can forward all related files if needed, I hope all is well?” Dr. Liam responded cautiously. “Who picks them up from you?” He asked instead. My wife picks up my prescriptions, she has been doing that since we were in college. She says it's her way of caring for me which I truly appreciate, she makes sure I take them twice daily and don't miss any dose even on business trips. “My wife/his wife,” Dr. Liam and I replied together. He looked at me in shock “Thank you, Liam” he dropped the call. “What's going on, Mark?” I inquired. “These are not your vitamins Alex, they've been switched. See these ones,” showing me the ones he took from his drawer “they are Alexis vitamins, see the inscription on them and the ones on yours,” I collected the pills to observe them truly they have different inscriptions “someone have been switching your vitamins with antidepressants and chemotherapy pills, that's why you get the migraines once a while but if not stopped it can cause larger damages.” “Like?” I whispered thinking about who could have done this to me and why. “Complete failures of your internal organs, strokes, brain damage and even death, you were taking pills for things you didn't have buddy,” “But, why and who?” I asked him angrily “I don't know buddy, apart from your wife who else have access to your pills,” “Nobody, she makes sure of that…….” Remembering something, I took my phone from my jacket pocket. I called my nanny. She's the only one who could enter my room. “How is it going Alex? She greets after two rings “I'm fine and you?” “I'm fine, you didn't call for formalities did you?” “I need you to help check for something in my room without my wife's knowledge.” Please don't be you, it must not be you. “Any problems,” She asked “What am I looking for?” As footsteps are heard from her side a few minutes later, she opens a door. I put my phone on speaker and dropped it on the table before Mark, “Good evening, Nanny Esme,” Mark greeted. “Hello Mark, how is the family and my sister?” Alexis Nanny is Esme’s twin sister. “We are all good, thank you,” he replied. “Boys, what am I looking for?” She asked, probably standing in the middle of our room. “As a lady Nanny Esme, if you need to hide a few bottles of drugs in a place you know your husband won't ever look at. Where will it be?” Mark said to her. “With a space like this, I will use my jewelry drawer. He has nothing to do there and it's a place Nora can't be without.” Sound of a door opening is heard “What's the code to her jewelry shelf?” She requested. “It's 0745,” I responded. I feel bad for doubting my wife and requesting my nanny to go through her stuff without her permission but I need to eliminate the thought of her poisoning me from my guts.
