Chapter SeventeenLee's phone rang around 7:00 a.m. He looked at the number and grabbed it. “Lee Henry,” he said and waited.
“Hi, Mr. Henry. I hope it's not too early to call.”
“No, Ms. Traynor, no problem,” Lee responded cordially and then waited for the substance of her message.
“I wanted you to know that I didn't forget about our conversation. I'm more than a little conflicted about this.” She was quiet a moment and then said, “I can't tell you how much part of me wants to walk away from this. I know you must think that I'm a coward, but I've known a number of women who have accused powerful men, and it doesn't ever seem to go well. The man remains powerful, and the woman is branded as a troublemaker, or a w***e, and her career is suddenly stalled.”
