World Best Player

On a bright Monday morning in Lake town. Bryan 7am alarm rings as he get up and prepares for school. Bryan was born in Lake town and raised in Resville city, his parents died in a plane crash and Bryan was forced to move to Lake town to his grandfather house but unfortunately Bryan met his grandfather on a sick bed and was at the point of dying. His grandfather told him that he always had a dream to be the World Best Player but unfortunately in his professional career he couldn't for some reasons, he told Bryan, I hope you can fulfill this my last wish a pursue the dream of becoming the World Best Player. These were is last words before he left the world. Bryan is ready for school and he takes his backpack and leaves for school. As the university orientation ends, all students makes their way to their classes. Bryan had a plan to join the Lake town University football team, thou the team was not as strong as his grandfather era cause his grandfather career began in Lake town university. Bryan took his seat beside a jovial and smart looking boy whose name was Ryan. Hi my name is Ryan Goodwill can I know yours? Ryan said My name is Bryan nice too meet you. Bryan says As they both exchanged a handshake they teacher worked in Good morning everyone, the teacher said Today we won't be doing anything much, but before we start can you all share your names with the class for a more interactive session. Everyone began sharing their names, and has it was Bryan turn he stepped up and says, hi my name is Bryan Wales and it's a pleasure to meet you. Most indigenes of Lake town that are in the class began to wonder if he was related to Brown Wales who was his grandfather. The class session ended and it was time for lunch. Ryan came to sit beside Bryan for lunch And they chatted Bryan then asked when will the application to enter the school football team will be opened Ryan replied saying do you want to join the football team. Bryan said yes Ryan told him that he is a player on the school football team and he recently joined before then end of lest term Bryan said really I didn't know that you were on the football team. Ryan said the only chance to join the team is next week that there will be a test to check the aptitude of the people who are applying, thou there won't be much people since the team isn't a strong team. Bryan said thanks I will be looking forward to it. As they walked together back to class The day ended and they both parted and head home. On Bryan way home he kept saying to himself that he has to join the team and that no matter how many people take the test he still has to work hard. A new week started and Bryan had filled his application for the the team and he was told to come for the test on Friday. He saw Ryan has he finished submitting the form He said Good morning Ryan, I have just submitted my application form Can you please tell me about the test Ryan replied the test consist of three categories first is the speed test which is to determine your speed, second is the strength test to check if your fit to be on team and lastly is the shooting test to check your shot power, accuracy and distance. Bryan replied are these all or there is a secret test or something like you are not revealing. Ryan laughed and said I knew you were smart, yes there us a secret test and it is changed every year so I cannot tell you about it and it is decided by the entire team. Bryan replied saying that It is fine for him not to tell him and he was not expecting a short cut either. Bryan asked that how many players are there on the team? Ryan replied telling him thou the team is not a strong one but too much players causes squad debt and that the team only consisted of 16 players. Bryan was shocked saying that they only have 5 substitutes. Ryan said you no not many people apply and those that apply sometimes just want to add it to their certificate so we choose wisely and carefully. They chatted long as they entered the class Thank God it's Friday Bryan said as he got of the bed and took his bath. After breakfast Bryan checked his schedule and found out he has no class today. He prepared himself and got into kit and headed towards the school field On getting there he say at least up to 59 candidates that applied for the team he was so surprised and at the same time very confident. They all took the first test the speed test it was very easy cause all they had to do was just dribble through cones at a very high speed and keep the ball in play. 20 candidates were eliminated from the first test although it was easy. The next test was the strength test they had to budge a pile of large size tires without letting it fall this was a little bit tricky and harder than the first one. Bryan smiled as he saw the test remembering all the training his grandfather had put him through anytime he comes for holidays. Thou he was smiling his heart was still pained. Bryan passed and 10 candidates failed Leaving only a total of 20 candidates left. The last test was shooting test and this was the hardest test they were given three positions to shoot from the first one the penalty area with a goalkeeper there, the second was from a range of 30 meters against the goalkeeper and the last was that a curved pass will be shot towards them and they are to shoot at first sight against only the empty goalpost. Bryan gulped, has he saw that the first five people to try on two passed. Bryan said to him self saying I have to take The first step and emerge victorious to get to my goal. He stepped up to take the penalty kick He scored The next shot was to check accuracy he took it and he slightly placed the ball to the top left corner of the post leaving the goalkeeper no chance. The trainer screamed what a goal! Bryan right foot has always been a power engine ready for action He stepped up to take the last test shot Thoughts are running will he emerge victorious in this step or will he fail and fall from the step?
