First kiss

Jia POV

I was waiting for the clock to struck 6. There were still 10 minutes to go. I was in the shop's kitchen. I start cleaning and putting everything in refrigerator. I pack my bag, ready to go. 5 minutes still. I glance through the kitchen door, Ruby and Fred are super busy, packing orders and collecting money. Ruby goes to the door and fliped 'open' sign board to 'closed'. Just few customers left. Today was one of the busiest day. I wonder how many people came to life today.

After the last customer was thanked with bright smile, we sighed in relief. Collecting our things, we move out. Ruby and I started our girly chatter. She was updating me on her new boyfriend and how he looked so much like Jason Momoa.

Fred came and flung his arms around us. Did I hear a growl? I look around and see Viktor jumping down from his jeep, removing his sunglassesand walking towards us in true Hollywood style. He is wearing mudgreen cargo pants with plain grey T-shirt. Oh god! my heart skips a beat. Even Ruby and Fred are looking at him.

Ruby starts waving at him excitedly.

"Do you know him?" Fred asked her.

"Ya, every handsome guy knows me." She replies, I just roll my eyes to that.

Viktor comes near us and kisses me on cheeks, leaving me with cherry cheeks, that was unexpected. He gently removes Fred's arms from my shoulders, replacing with his and scooting me closer to him. He seemed quite happy and content now.

"MINE" he growls, which just I hear, due to my supernatural werewolves powers.

Fred and Ruby have their jaws dropped to ground. They don't even bother picking them up. Ruby narrows her eyes on me. I know, I am dead. She is gonna kill me, for keeping such a big information for her.

How do I tell her, we just meet yesterday and it's the mate bond doing it's job.

Viktor introduces himself to my friends.

"Hi, Viktor Kent" he said stretching his hand towards Fred

"Fred" he said shaking Viktor's hand.

Then Viktor looked at Ruby

"It's Ruby" Rudy said taking Viktor's hand and not leaving them.

Viktor frowned at her, Ruby smiled at him seductively. Viktor's jerked his hand out from Ruby's grip.

"It was nice meeting you, Fred. Ruby. We will take your leave." Viktor said politely, walking towards the jeep talking me along. I waved good bye at both of them. I knew, the confrontation had just been pushed a bit.

Viktor helped me up in his jeep and went to his side. He was always a gentleman. He handed me his mobile before starting to drive.

"Save your number and save mine in yours." He told me.

I did as I was instructed. He stared at my mobile, well it was an old model but it was working fine. I gave him his mobile back.

"I didn't knew you had a job"

"It's been two years now".

"I really got started, when you didn't come back from school, I found your friend, Tyler's mate. She told me you work here."

"Michelle?"

He nodded.

"So what you do in there?" He asked me.

"I bake, I work as a chef" I replied.

"Oh! Wow, so you do all those preety things on cakes! Quite creative."

"Thanks" I mumbled.

"I would like to taste your cake some day" he said looking at me.

I just smiled back. He giving in efforts to strike a conversation, and me being stupid and nervous was not able to speak anything.

I could see he was getting worried with my behavior. He gave me one hard look.

"Umm, lets have dinner somewhere before going back home" he said.

"I would like that" I replied with smile.

"So what would we be eating?"

"Pizza?" I beamed. That made him happy.

We were seated at one of my favourite pizza joint. Its a nice cosy place decorated with small glitter lights.

Viktor extents his hand to hold mine, that I had kept on table. I sense it and withdraw mine in my lap. I don't why I am getting this edgy. I see hurt in his eyes and regret my action instantly.

"What the hell girl? You hurt him" she accused me

"It anything wrong?, Is anything bothering you?" Viktor asked me.

I shook my head negatively.

"Are you upset with me Jia? Or are you not happy with us being mates? Is..is there.... someone....else..?" He asked with he eyes getting teary

Oh god, no! Where did that come from?

"NO! there is no one else, I am sorry but Its always has been you, even before this mate thing happened. I.. I like you, just...you. I feel ... I..may be you deserve someone better...than me."

"You are the best thing that happened to me Jia, and I want no one else" he said and my heart just melted.

I extended my hand on table towards him to hold it. He smiled at my gesture and took my hand in his.

We chatted to know everything about each other, when are our birthdays, our best friends, parents, work, food, movies etc

"Oh! I missed you birthday by three days" he said disappointed.

"Does that guy, what was his name, Greg? Tead?"

"Fred"

"Ya Fred, he works with you?"

"He is just a friend"

"Yes offcourse"

We reached home and got freshen up for bed. When I came out of washroom, I saw him sitting on a rocking chair just in his boxers busy in mobile. I start feeling heat all over my body. I went to my side of bed and started strengthening the already straight bedsheets. All of sudden I was wrapped in warm embrace from behind. His lips brushing my neck sending sparks all around me. He turned me around and cupped my face staring in my eyes.

"Jia" he whispered breathing heavily.

"Umm" that's all I was able to say.

He lowered his gaze to my lips leaning in. Our lips meet sending electric waves in my system. A small peck was soon turned into hot, deep kiss full of passion and love.

All these flutters in heart, jitters in stomach and tickles all over body were driving me crazy, making me go weak in knees and were letting my adrenaline going. I wanted to drown in this pleasure. If this is what love is than so be it.
