The only thought in Catherine's mind was that Lorenzo couldn't die.
She screamed at him, "Move!" and shoved the woman's arm just as the gun fired.
The bullet veered off, hitting the ground nearby.
Furious, the woman raised her gun and fired more shots at Lorenzo, before suddenly lunging toward Catherine, grabbing her tightly.
"If I'm going down, you're coming with me!" the woman shrieked.
The movement was too fast.
Catherine's feet were still bound, and she had no choice but to tumble over the edge with the woman, straight into the roaring waterfall below.
In the last moments before she lost consciousness, she felt someone's hand gripping her arm tightly.
Lorenzo's voice echoed in her ears, filled with desperation and anger.
"Catherine!"
