She dashed around the cottage nervously she’d showered and dressed, she had decided to wear a low cut black blouse it only looked low cut because the buttons stopped at the top of her cleavage. She hoped that Mr. Corey Jacobs wouldn’t get the wrong impression of her, she had chose to cover the tattoos that she’d had inked on to her body over the years ones that Joker did not approve of, but they were for her own release a release from her depression, her anxiety and life as a whole. Each one represented her battles and her accomplishments, her own well being. She’d accompanied the fitted black blouse with a pinstripe cropped pair of trousers and a pair of three inch heel shoes she just hoped that it wasn’t too much. Izzy was two now and she’d stayed at home to bring her up. Today she’d be staying with her nanny she’d had several play days with her and the other children that attended the crèche. She’d spent time alone with her to get to know her, she hoped this interview went well or the nanny would be gone and Izzy was already fond of her. She couldn’t disappoint her. She needed this it was her new beginning. Arron, Kieron and Isabella’s new beginning. She was so nervous she’d messed her make up several times before getting it right.
She walked nervously down the stairs hoping she wouldn’t fall and make a fool out of her self. Her nerves showed as she stepped down into the living room of the stairs. ‘How do I look?’
Callum looked up and smiled. ‘Perfect just perfect.’
‘It isn’t to much I mean I..’
‘It’s fine sis.’
‘I hope so I don’t want to mess this up.’
‘You won’t Corey is eager to meet you.’
‘I’m so nervous.’
‘There’s no need to be he’s a p***y cat in a bears clothing.’
‘I’m shitting bricks Cal don’t make me feel worse.’
‘Come on the nanny has taken Izzy out for the day.’
‘Where did you find her she’s amazing.’
‘Corey.’
‘God I hope this goes well I don’t want to loose her. Izzy is really taken by her.’
‘You won’t now come on.’
They stepped out of the door lexi closed and locked the door behind them. They got in the car for twenty minute drive. ‘Everything will be fine Lex.’
‘How long have you known him for?’
‘A long time a very long time.’
‘The cottage.’
He looked at her threw the corner of his eye saying nothing.
‘It’s his isn’t it?’
‘Maybe.’ He took a deep breath. ‘I told him your situation and he was only to happy to help.’
‘Great now I’m even more nervous. I’m going to f**k up an loose my home too.’
He squeezed her hand. ‘No you’re not just relax and take deep breaths everything’s going to be okay sis. Trust me okay. Corey asked for you personally so you must have already gave him a good impression and he’s hard to impress believe me.’
She smiled nervously as Callum released his hand form hers shifting gear. They pulled up in front of a large building. ‘Good luck sis.’
‘I’m gunna need it.’
‘No you don’t, but good luck anyway.’
‘Thanks.’
She pulled herself out of the car closing the door looking at the large building, swallowing. ‘Well I guess it’s now or never.’
She smiled and waved at Callum, he waved waiting for her to go in before he pulled away. She was met at the reception of the large bright building to be taken up to the top of the building, god she hated lifts.
‘Mr. Jacobs is looking forward to meeting you.’
She smiled briefly.
‘Your nervous I can tell, but there’s no need to be though he’s a hard shell on the out side he’s a softy on the inside.’
‘How long have you worked here?’
‘Almost as long as Mr. Jacobs it was his dads company. Mr. Jacobs interviewed me to. I was nervous like you it’s to be expected the big boos man interviewing you. So you’ll be his P.A.’
‘So I understand. If I don’t mess it up.’
‘You’ll be fine.’
‘So has he had any P.A’s before?’
‘Several they don’t like his attitude they say he’s a monster in disguise.’
‘Oh.’
‘They say he’s ruthless with business and his lovers, but that’s hearsay. And a whole load of bullshit if you ask me.’
She smiled politely, what had Callum got her into? He sounded like the devil.
The lift stoped, her heart beating faster almost thudding threw her rib cage. ‘This way mam.’
They steeped out of the lift she followed the male to the large acquainted office at the end of the hall. He knocked the door ‘enter.’ The voice shouted.
He opened the door and he turned Lexi in. ‘Your nine am is here sir.’
‘Excellent show her over.’
‘Miss.’
She smiled nervously Greg left the office.
I watched her as she walked towards the desk, her knees buckling almost tripping over herself. I let out a smirk trying not to laugh. She was nervous even I picked up on that.
She cursed to herself which amused me as she continued over to my desk. ‘Hi I’m Lexi Evans.’
‘Please take a seat.‘ I gestured trying in hot to make eye contact.
She slid into the chair. ‘So Lexi tell me a little about yourself and why you think you would be good for the position of my P.A.’
She looked nervous I could tell her legs were bouncing every where, her hands were twisting with each other and sweaty. She began to talk she sounded like an Angel. I glanced up at her she was prettier than the description that Callum had given me. I’d bend her over the table right now and f**k her senseless, but I wouldn’t I’d control it. I just nodded as she continued to talk about herself and how she would be a good asset to the firm and she’d be happy to learn the ropes.
She exhaled. I must say she impressed me.
‘And your goals in life?’
She paused and answered I nodded taking memory notes.
‘I understand you have children.’
‘Yes sir that isn’t a problem is it’s?’
‘No. Please tell me about them.’
‘Well my eldest lives with his girl friend the twins are at uni, so I only have three of them living with me. The two eldest are at high school and my youngest is two.’
He nodded.
‘Is there anything else you’d like to know ?’
‘No we’ve covered every thing.‘
‘I’m sorry for wasting your time.’ She said pulling herself up out of the chair, but she never gave me a chance to say she had the job she just assumed otherwise.
She turned walking away. ‘Gee they were right you are ruthless and covert.’
‘Really.’
She spun around. ‘Sorry I ...’
I laughed. ‘I know what they all think of me and they are right.’
Lexi looked at him. He was out of his chair my features were bold yet distinctive no one had told her he was hot. His face looked as if it hadn’t been shaven for a few days a week maybe. His dark suit hugged his immutable body, and of course his six pack. His tie hung almost loosely around his neck. She stood phased by his appearance it was not what she was expecting, she wasn’t paying attention to him when she walked over to the desk. She was too nervous.
She looked at me like she’d never seen a man before. I wondered what she was thinking. s*x god no doubt every girl thought that I was. She didn’t quiet know what to say, she looked embarrassed that I’d caught her words as she left. ‘You got the job by the way.’
Her eyes beamed and I smiled.
‘So let’s start again wipe the slate. ‘I’m Corey Jacobs.’ He said holding his hand out.
‘Lexi Evans.’
He shook her hand. ‘It’s nice to meet you Miss Evans. Callum has told me all about you.’
‘All good I hope.’ She smiled.
God that smile was to die for I could just f**k her right here, right now, but I won’t. ‘Of course, but he never mentioned you were stunning.’
She blushed.
‘So I’ll have the contract drawn up for your approval and I’ll see you Monday at nine.’
‘You will.’
He loosed her hand. ‘I’ll look forward to it.’
She smiled and left the office. She clouded my mind my judgment it was going to be hard working with her and keeping my hands off her.
