Chapter Fifteen
He finally slept some after that fantastic start to the morning, and she had rested as well, curled in his arms and completely relaxed. When she began to stir, he leaned over and gave her another intense kiss, which she melted right into.
Finally breaking the kiss, he got up from the bed and headed straight for the kitchen to start the coffee. He was going to need it to make it through the day; it was going to be a long one for sure.
While he waited on the coffee, Nate shot a text to Alex to see if there were any new developments, and then he stoked the woodstove one last time but didn’t add any more wood. He also decided he would just hire someone to winterize the cabin like usual; there was no way he was going to do it today.
