The mad KING

Chapter 4: Freedom forced out of Chains

It was a long and peaceful night when the enemy struck. The king was forced to go into hiding as the enemy seeks the head of the king. The invaders searched house to house after confirming that the mad king had gone to hide. The leaders of the invaders would ride on a horses and call out the king in mockery saying “ coward, coward, only coward run from battle. Mad king”. They would hurt anyone who would stand up to them. They went after their daughters for entertainment. Tears wet the floor of every street, sadness was the moon of the night, and pain was the pillow at which the people lay with.

They continue their wicked act just to draw the king out of his hide out. It was becoming unbearable for the king as he is a man who loves the people. From his hideout, his heart was greatly troubled. The five princes were helpless as the situations seem hopeless. They (princes) soon discover that the girls who they thought were commoners where actually the princess of the kingdom. It would have been a thing of joy to their heart seeing that they have won the price of the quest. Love plucked unripe eaten before time.

The Mad king was fed up as love became his strength and wisdom became his shield. He said I am going to offer myself for the freedom of my people. He laughed and said “Let it be known that few stood against many but prevailed, freedom forced out of chains as love fought for what is hers” The princes where confuse and not even Gabi could understand where the King was going with this talk. I have no army that is what they think but I have the greatest force that the earth has ever seen in history. Fight with me he said as he went to his resting bed. They could not understand Him still as the night draw near.

The five princes stayed awake wondering how a man with no army has the greatest force ever seen on the earth. They decided to flee the city to seek help each from their kingdom which they did only to return to meet real war.

The king had offered himself to the invaders but did not go down easily as he spoke bravely to his people. Farmers , traders, fishermen, goldsmith, women, children so turned into brutal warriors and started attacking the invaders. The princess arrived rendered a little help and they won the war.

The words of the king was now clear to the princes and Gabi said, Men will give anything to protect that which is dear to his heart. People will always fight for what they believe.

The weakness of the kingdom was sealed as she opened a school to train men and women into becoming knights. Soon they became the largest army ever.

The king gave out his daughters to the princes and shared his kingdom between them. He lived 10 years more before giving up the ghost. He was buried at the very heart of the kingdom.
