The mad KING

Once upon a time, there lived a mad king whose Kingdom was very prosperous. His kingdom was rich with gold, silver, diamond, good soil for plants but he never saw these as true riches but his people to him were his wealth and not what is available on his kingdom. The King had no son but five beautiful daughters. They barely come out from the castle and when they do, they act like commoners and this was why sometime people mistake them for maidens or just commoners. He was loved by his subject because of his generosity to the poor in his kingdom. His kingdom was a place of beauty, Kings, queens, prince and princess would talk about its splendor to their subject. This flourishing kingdom had no army of its own and this is why people call the king “mad king” . To them, a kingdom that is rich needs an army to protect its riches. One day, the mad happy king became troubled. He refused to eat, come out from his room, or even talk to anyone. His heart was heavy when he pondered upon the things people say about him and his kingdom. He said to himself, they say I have no sons, that my kingdom has no army to protect it………At first it was a joke he told himself.
