232 Words
The first day passed with the mad king pondering on his troubling taught. The third and fourth day inside his room became terrible as the joke he told himself became a nightmare to him. I have five daughters he said, who will inherit all I have. Who will continue my legacy as the grave approaches me. My kingdom of splendor would be shared among lazy and greedy kings and probably my daughters married to their sons or generals who would use them as slaves or even before my eyes it would be shared as spoils of war and I myself a slave mocked in his home land. This taught continued until the fifth day when the king laughed himself out of the room. All who saw him wondered. Despite his behaviour he was filled with joy and life. In his merriment he declared a feast for his people. He also invited other kings to his feast and as the feast was going on he made a declaration that he is giving his daughters out for marriage to princes through a quest. This declaration was the beginning of trouble to a loving, quiet and rich kingdom as it an opportunity for its enemy to strike and subdue her. The feast ends. The king’s declaration spread far. 2 kingdoms teamed among themselves to attack the mad king , over throne him and share the spoils.
