I couldn't go back to my remaining classes so I headed to the Dean’s office to see if they were done with the meeting. I hadn't expected to see April sitting on the pew in the hallway right outside the Dean’s office. I froze at the sight of her. She turned her head slowly in my direction but looked away quickly. Bracing myself up, I took the courage to keep walking and then joined her on the pew. But I sat at the extreme, giving us a good space. She didn't seem like she wanted to speak to me. I was dying to but the fear of her, ignoring me, held me back. Until it couldn't anymore and I just did it. “I'm really sorry, April.” “Don't talk to me.” She hissed. I shut my mouth quickly, blinking back my tears. “Why didn't you tell me?” The question came out almost like a whisper.
