Taylour drove quickly to her office and went inside. She retrieved the files that she needed from the cabinet and sat down at her desk. As she worked, her thoughts would occasionally wander to Spencer, but she quickly brought her mind back to the tasks at hand. Before she knew it, she was all caught up. She glanced at the clock on her desk, which read 12:45 p.m., put her things away, and decided to pick up some burritos for two to go from Tortilla Casa.
She knew the owner, Franco Acosta, as she had defended him on a wrongful termination suit that could have gotten ugly quick. Taylour stepped in and found that the plaintiff had an extensive history of suing her previous employers.
