The Apogian War

The Apogist rises The Apogist, believe it or not was once a normal boy walking on a normal street on a normal day on a normal time, but in a bad weather. He breathed the moist air as he walks down the beautiful pavement on the streets of vandartha, commonly known as 'the street on which misfortune walks', the heavy rain and cloudy weather beat vehemently on him as he walks slowly down the street. He's not so tall and not too short he's neither fat nor short. His fingers were rough and rugged or not, he wears a medium size dark cloak on himself which had a hood on it, and a pair of scandals and a very tiny bag hanged on his back pocket. A woman walked, not too far beside him on the pavement in quick steps dragging alongside a little girl who was in tears,but the apogist never looks much at anyone, so he pulls he's hood over his head and continues walking slowly. On the apogist mind was always an obsession of not being the person he thought he always was, this unruly manner of thought always kept him going anytime he had a trouble on his mind. He always smiled if he had any trouble, if he were crying he would still be smiling under the tears, because his grandmother with whom he lived with always made it very clear that he should never frown, unless he wants to suffer the punishment. The punishment was simple, he would simply walk down the streets of vandartha on the road, instead of the pavement on which everyone else walked on, no body knew why but every one walks on the pavement except the people who rode on the carts and people with donkeys or horses on the dusty paths of the street, And this was what he was currently doing, because he had frowned when his grandmother had mistakenly stepped on his tiny little bag which he always carried about. This tiny little bag was his only possession he had from he's deceased parents, which he's grandma told him they had left for him with a message'open it only when the time is right' before they were rumoured to be dead, this little treasure he had, lead him to believe that they where just rumoured to be dead, but are still alive one way or the other somewhere above where his imagination couldn't deduce they were, so he held onto this treasure which he had never opened since he got it for fear of what may be within. Sometimes when he strolled to the peak of vandartha, where the grave was on, which he's parents bodies were supposedly said to be buried, he was sometimes tempted to open the little treasure, sometimes he even went as far as opening the tiny zip halfway through the tiny bag but did not dare to look in. The peak of vandartha was where mostly few old people dared to enter because it was rumoured to have been cursed after the great seven apogees had disappeared, he once heard two old men discussing about this on one special day so he sat on a tomb stone behind them and listened, the first man said. "The Great Dark Apogee was a great dark Duke which was one Known by the people of vandartha to have started and ended the war of the dark Apogees in the dark ages where the seven Apogees ruled the seven domains in the kingdom of vandartha" The other man said "Ausburn the first known to many as the red apogee, hardias the second know as the earth Apogee, Faltron the third; the Falcon Apogee, Golden the forth known as the Gold Apogee, coltus the fifth; the Cold Apogee, Darwin the sixth know as the arch Apogee and lastly Darkovan the seventh known as the Dark Apogee. Ausburn the first known as the Red Apogee after succeeding his father as the heir of the throne in the Ausburn domain went against the great law of Vandartha and got married to Faltron the third, which was said to have killed her father and her junior brother for trying to make her junior brother the heir of the domain instead of her as the elder, because she wasn't a male heir, after they got married the two domains succeeded in combining their resources to form one domain known as the Apog domain (meaning the combined power of two domains) as king and Queen, And all these was f*******n by the great law of Vandartha, this whole event caused Darkovan the Dark Apogee to have resentment over both rulers of the Apog domain, on which he sets he's plot to form allies with coltus, Darwin, and the Hardias domains to wage war against the other three domains which were Ausburn and Faltron(the Apog domain) and Golden(because Golden refused to fight against the Apog domain because he once loved Faltron before she married Ausburn, so he was silent with the Apog domain. The Dark Apogee seeing all that have happened knew his next course of action, he was known to all of Darkovan as the dark mastermind due to the famous free fire incident which too place on the borders of Darkovan and Hardias domains,the famous free fire insident was about four brothers, who were said to have fallen down to the earth in great dis-unity, there by fighting against each other for reasons best known to themselves and causing great distraught in the borders, So Darkovan, head of the Darkovan's domains sent a message to the four brothers, saying "whichever of you as the last man who stands alive in the next Darkovan hour would be allowed to leave alive" With this message delivered the four brothers came into agreement and splited into a two man duo mode to defeat the other group after the fight which didn't last very long, two of the brothers came out as the victors with one of them badly wounded, so the other of the victor shot him on his back, with that he became the only true Victor, He was said to have ran into the highest mountain in all of Vandartha for his escape and then as he reached the top, he glided away with a glider, few villagers were said to have seen him glide high over their roofs, but after that he was never heard of or seen again. As Darkovan listened to his most trusted male servant Julius, he could see that the servant had put on the memorial cloth meant to be worn in every hundred fortnight of the Vandartha year, in remembrance of him great-grandfather Damion Alehandro Portfolio who was the first Darkovan ruler. "i see you are ready for the counsel sir, or shall make it be delayed a little longer" Julius said as he walked into Darkovan chambers, Darkovan gave him a meek smile and said "no Julius am ready and I would be with them shortly". Darkovan walked gracefully into the wide counsel chambers, which he could see very clearly have been renovated for the new counsel season as a tradition in the domains that was setup by his great grandfather, he then sat down taking a sit at the center of the symposium. "Craken Voltron,Aldaran Minestro, Gabriel Delivan, Chiya Dandelar ,Michigan Coolor,Yugo Cane,Carlus and Carwin Tacot, Edgard and Winstro of Oz and lastly Danila Randolph ,"said the counsellor Matra Matt,all counsel members rose (both the ones whose names were not mentioned)and said the traditional chant. "long live the king may his peaceful rein last for time to come and time be, o king make us whole and let us see the best of our self let us serve you in ways that please you best o king"came the roaring counsel, Darkovan rose up and said "I am deeply honoured to greet and address you all on this memorial Day but I am greatly displeased to say that I will not be able to stay throughout all the days of the fortnight"then he paused, because he knew what to expect There was a huge and general murmuring in the crowd,some even shouted "blasphemy" to his hearing when the council was calmed down by the councilor the speaker spoke "Darkovan we see no reason for your sudden unannounced leave from the domain on this most memorable day observed since the passing of the first king of this domain and has been observed by all the other kings that followed after him". "I have heard you kinsman, Darkovan said" I do not intend to leave at my leisure or rather for pleasures of mine ,but I am leaving because of the resent development which we all are aware of ,or for those who may not have heard which I greatly doubt, I leave to fight for the peace of the whole kingdom of vandartha which the current rullers of the Apog domain Ausburn and Faltron has set out to destroy by getting married to each other,we all know that it is written in the Great law that every domain should be independent but subjected to the Great law and serve its people as it seems fit but Ausburn and Faltron are now married and that is a big puncture on the great law" (there was a huge and general murmuring in the crowd in Darkovan's favour)'but how long could it last' he thought. The speaker Polio Matra then said "what do you intend to do when you leave the domain"he said with a stern voice as the counsel nodded in agreement with the question"I intend to align forces with whichever domain that agrees with me and wage war on the Apog domain"came Darkovan's reply. The council was in turmoil as he spoke, some agreed and some disagreed others need not say anything for fear of rationality within the domain and to be on the safer side if things were to go wrong, and for fear of the unspoken which most of the old council members new at the back of their mind fear of being controlled while dead. It was believed that a good number of the council members were controlled by the Darkovan's curse even though it was never said in the Open. After the large uproar made by most of the council members, the speaker spoke"council is dismissed until the end of the fortnight"the speaker said looking depressed. There was great chattering and screwing about as the members of the council were on their way out of the great doors of the council chambers. There were still three main people in the council chambers as the rest of the council members went away, which were Carlus and Carlin that which were twin brothers and also both advisers to Darkovan and the last been the speaker for the council Polio Mantraantra the three of them went closer to where the Darkovan was still seated and the first to speak was Carlus. "Do you think this is a wise move knowing fully well that the Ausburn domain is ruled by the once feared Ausburn the red apogee, the one who was rumoured to have burnt a whole village in his domain because a single villager passed by without saying the greetings properly as he rode past".Carlus said shaking his head,"should we back down because of rumours Carlus?" Collins said, " I have heard you all,and this is something I have set my mind and heart to achieve and I must and nothing will stand in my way, if any, Darkovan glanced at the speaker for the council,they should know what to expect"Darkovan said, with this the speaker of the House Polio Mantra walked away angrily, as he thought "surely you did not expect us to fall at your bidding Darkovan just because of your living deads" the living dead was a special skill possessed by Darkovan which earned him the name the Dark Apogee because he killed people and possess them when they were dead" Polio Mantra cursed under his breath as he walked away. "Farewell My kingsman" Darkovan said as he retired to his quarters.
