Chapter 2 - Out

    After a few days, the celebration of the return of a guild member became huge news in all of Magnolia since Fairy Tail is its center of income and attraction. In the streets of Magnolia, there is a celestial spirit mage who is walking along the edges of the riverside balancing herself when a fisherman shouted at her. "Miss! Please be careful." "I will, thank you!" Its been days since Lisanna came back and as usual, they ignored Lucy's existence except for several people. Most of the members who still talk to her are on a mission except Lissana and Mira. Lucy went to a table and ordered a strawberry milkshake.

    Lily, Gajeel, and Levy are together on a mission that needs both brains and brawn. Juvia, Wendy, Carla, and Romeo went on a simple mission where Juvia acts as the guardian for the two teens. Mira is busy attending to everyone's needs and Master is in his office drowned by paperwork. Finally, Laxus is with his group of friends the ‘Raijinshu Tribe' or the ‘Thunder God Tribe', finishing a class S mission. Therefore Lucy is alone. Happy and Lisanna are with Team Natsu in a mission so it won't hurt seeing them without her. Lucy doesn't go on missions by herself but maybe this time she has to? Lucy stood up and walked to the mission board scanning for possible solo missions for her. She found one! Lucy picked the paper and went back to her table and read the details for the mission. She was busy reading that she didn't realize how the guild suddenly became louder. The reason for that is the return of Team Natsu minus Lucy, Wendy, Carla plus Lisanna.

    It went on for a few minutes before Lucy finally noticed her team. Erza, Gray, Natsu, Lisanna, and Happy are walking towards her. She was happy, excited, confused and nervous. I mean after all this time ignoring her why notice her now? 

    "Hey, Luce!" Natsu shouted as if nothing happened. Like they didn't speak to her in days. "Hey, Natsu! What's up?" Lucy couldn't do anything but act as normal as she could. She's scared of what their answer would be if she asked them as to why. Why did they ignore her?

    "You see Lucy we were talking about getting a really hard S-class mission." Gray said without looking exactly to Lucy's eyes. It's like he's looking through her.

    "And we've talked about it and we decided to kick you out of the team. Right?" Natsu grinning like he's not f*****g saying anything rude. "I mean it was supposed to be Lissana in our team you know, I guess you're kind of the replacement for her." Lucy has her eyes wide, mouth open in shock and can't utter a word, not even a single sound. While Natsu is happy. He's grinning and even gave Lucy his famous eye smile.

    It might be wrong for her part to ask if she doesn't want to be hurt, but the truth that hurts is better than the lies that will comfort. "Why? I-I mean why do you have to kick me out of the team? Why not just add Lissana?" Lucy was almost crying, tears welling up in her eyes, mouth shaky from nervousness and fear.

    "Why? What do you mean why? Mainly because you are such a weakling.  You do know you are so useless, right?  Whenever we are on a mission you always panic when we destroy the city like its not our fault we're strong, you probably can't relate and all ‘cause you're such a weakling. Also you always talk about rent, I mean we’re kind of tried with your whining. Besides its Team Natsu, means it's still my decision."

    “Yeah and we always need to save you. It's annoying, instead of relaxing and wreaking havoc, we have to save you. You see Lucy, we have to manage the expectations as the strongest team in Fairy Tail. But if you’re with us, it kind of contradicts the word strongest. I mean I hope you understand.” Erza sighed like it’s the most annoying thing someone had done to her.

    "And you always hide behind your spirit. I mean I know its your magic but can't you do something alone? What’ll happen if you can’t reach your keys? You’ll be in danger you know, and then we have to save you again." Gray wasn't looking exactly at Lucy’s eyes. Its like he’s looking through her but then he rolled his eyes for the weakling in front of him.

    “Oh and also I'm breaking up with you! I'm with Lissana now by the way!" Natsu with a s**t-eating grin. Lucy was speechless. The friends and family she thought she has forever was abandoning her because she was weak. Tears pooled in her eyes, not letting them fall to her face, because she doesn’t want to give them the satisfaction that she’s hurt by the things that they said.

    "Um,o-okay. I mean I understand of course." Lucy was in a wobbly voice but the idiots can’t seem to notice it and was even cheerful.  

    "Yosha!!! The new Team Natsu will go on an S-Class Mission.” Gray and Erza just nodded to what Natsu has decided. Lucy hide the tears forming in her eyes with her bangs. Happy and Lissana came to her with faces that are apologetic.

    "Sorry Lushee. They didn’t discussed it with us. i***t Natsu!!!" Happy was crying and filled with anger, which was the first time that Lucy saw him like this. "Lucy, I'm Sorry. I didn’t know anything about this. I didn’t know that you’re with Natsu." Lissana was sobbing and crying hard, Lucy also wants to cry but she can’t because the whole gulild is looking at her. She doesn’t want to be ridiculed for crying.

    "What are you saying? Hahahahaha its okay. I’m fine. I’m just gonna go home early." Even with the hurt that she was feeling, she still can give smiles and laugh at the situation. She stood up and without turning back walked out of the guild. Happy and Lissana can’t do anything but just stare at her back, slowly going out of sight.

    After going out of the guild, Lucy sprinted to her rented apartment. The tears that she was holding back finally poured out of her eyes. Tears were continuously falling down from her eyes. She arrived and went upstairs not even bothering to reply to her landlord who shouted that she was running too loud for the other occupants of the apartment. She plopped herself to bed and cried until she can’t spill tears anymore. Her nose was stuffy, her face bloated, eyes and nose red. After a few minutes or hours of crying, Lucy can’t measure the time anymore, she finally cried herself to sleep.
