CHAPTER 2 Such A Slut!

Rose didn't sit still and accidentally fell off the bed. She looked at Brandon in horror, pointed at his lips, and trembled uncontrollably, "You, you..... didn't you say that it was the waiter who helped me yesterday?" "Yes, the waiter helped you change your clothes. Does that mean you don't have to take responsibility?" "I..." Rose wanted to explain, but her tongue seemed to be tied in knots at that moment. Suddenly she remembered that she had been holding and kissing someone while she was inebriated yesterday. She felt like she wanted to die when she looked at the marks on Brandon's body. She felt so embarrassed. Her inner turmoil and anxiety were all written on her face. Brandon's thin lips curved upwards as he stepped forward and pulled her into his arms. "Don't try to run away. You belong to me." Rose didn't have a chance to say anything else before Brandon walked out of the room. Watching his departing figure, Rose's mind once again went blank. Could someone tell her what was going on? It was already strange enough that the CEO knew her name and wanted her to take responsibility for him. According to him, it seemed like he knew her, but she had never met him before! She lightly hit her head and cleared her jumbled thoughts before putting on her clothes and going downstairs. She didn't want to eat with the CEO. Something was off about him but she couldn't resist him; he was the CEO, and she needed this job. If she offended him and lost her job, she would be at a loss. Outside the hotel, Brandon stood next to a luxurious car, with the sunlight casting his tall and slender figure. Rose's heart skipped a beat as she walked towards him. At the restaurant, the food Brandon ordered was served immediately. Looking at the table full of dishes she liked, Rose couldn't remain calm anymore. There were countless questions in her mind and finally, she asked, "Have we met before?" Otherwise, how could he know her preferences? It couldn't be a coincidence that the CEO had the same taste as her. Elegantly picking up some food and putting them on her plate, Brandon said lightly, "Yes, we have met." "Then why don't I have any impression of you?" Rose asked. "Perhaps you have a bad memory," Brandon replied. Rose couldn't help but spurt out a mouthful of rice, feeling embarrassed. She was only twenty-four years old, not in her seventies or eighties, how could she have a bad memory? Moreover, she had just gone through everyone she had met from kindergarten to work, but she didn't remember Brandon at all. No, she was sure that she had never seen him before he took office. "Eat slowly, I'm not competing with you," Brandon picked up a tissue and elegantly wiped away the stains on the corner of her mouth, his voice calm and gentle. "It doesn't matter if you can't remember now, I'll give you time to think slowly." Without waiting for Rose to speak, he continued, "I won't have time to accompany you to buy daily necessities, so let the driver take you home for now. I'll take you shopping tonight." Rose had food in her mouth and looked at him with a puzzled expression, her brain short-circuiting once again. She thought he was just joking when he said he wanted her to go to his house while they were in the room, but she didn't expect him to actually mean it. After a moment of contemplation, she put down her chopsticks and looked seriously into his deep eyes, "Sir..." "Call me Brandon," he interrupted before she could finish her sentence. "Uh," her face turned crimson in an instant. Calling him by his name would make it seem as though they were dear friends. With a wry smile, she quietly asked, "Can I refuse?" Living in her boss's house? She didn't have the guts. After all, how many women in the company were paying attention to him? And how many dreamed of marrying him? If she were seen living in his mansion, she would be skinned alive. "No," he replied firmly, leaving no room for negotiation. Rose couldn't help but lament in her heart. She then explained with a sad face, "Yesterday was a misunderstanding. I didn't know it was you, and you didn't lose anything. Can't we just forget about it?" Brandon looked up and met her anxious cheeks, his lips slightly curved, forming a shallow arc. "If you sleep with me, you have to take responsibility. We can't just forget about it." Rose looked up at the sky and felt like crying. She was so poor that she only had herself left. What responsibility could she possibly take? Besides, she never really wanted to sleep with him, it was clearly him... After struggling for a long time, she made one last attempt, "What will happen if I don't go?" "No 'ifs', you have to go." After a pause, Brandon added, "I had someone go to your place this morning and move all your things to my house, and they also helped you terminate your lease. You can only live at my place." "Ahem." Rose couldn't hold back the water in her mouth, choking and tears streaming down her face. Her face turned both blue and red, and she recalled that her underwear, which she had just washed yesterday, was still hanging on the balcony... How embarrassing! She had something on her mind but couldn't express it. After a while, she said in a small voice, "Sir, you're restricting my freedom." "I'm not restricting your freedom. You can do whatever you want." "But..." Rose wanted to argue, but her ringing phone interrupted her. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was a colleague from work. "Rose, the manager's wedding is about to start. Why aren't you here yet?" With lowered eyelids and tightly clenched lips, Rose felt a twinge in her heart. Their manager was Christina Jones, the new fiancée of Gary and also her immediate superior. She didn't want to go to the wedding and see Gary put a wedding ring on another woman's hand. But she had to go. Everyone in the department knew that Gary was her boyfriend, but he was suddenly getting married to Christina Jones. There were many people gossiping behind her back. Moreover, since everyone in the company was going to Christina's wedding, if she didn't go, others would say that she was holding a grudge. She looked at the time, it was already eleven o'clock, and the wedding was to start at twelve. "I'll go over right away." Hanging up the phone, she timidly looked at Brandon and said in a low voice, "I have to attend the manager's wedding. I'll leave now." While standing up, she said, "Oh, I just remembered something. You tell me the address of your house, and I'll go there by myself." She didn't want to go to Brandon's mansion, but she had no choice. Her things had all been moved there, and he had terminated her lease. She used up all of her salary last month and didn't have much money to rent a new place. If she refused to go, she could only sleep on the streets. Brandon glanced at her and pulled her to sit down. He said lightly, "You don't have to attend your ex-boyfriend's wedding." Rose was slightly stunned and looked at him in surprise. How did he know that Christina was getting married to her ex-boyfriend? After a few seconds of being stunned, she quickly realized that he was the CEO, and Christina was a manager. It wasn't strange that he knew who she was getting married to. Besides, the news of Gary and Christina being together had been widely spread in the company a few days ago. She just was too dumb to realize it was true. Wait a minute! A sudden inspiration flashed through her mind. Rose suddenly widened her eyes and looked shocked. It was only after a long time that she trembled her lips and asked, "Manager Christina is your sister?" Since waking up in the morning until now, she had been struggling with why Brandon appeared in front of her. But she forgot that Christina was the chairman's niece, and Brandon was the chairman's son. Weren't they cousins? "Cousin." He replied. Rose was speechless. She wanted to ask him how he could have the mood to eat with her if he wasn't going to attend his cousin's wedding. Moreover, if she remembered correctly, he hadn't planned to attend the wedding and was going to a meeting instead. However, from his expression, he didn't seem too happy about Christina getting married. His face was expressionless, neither angry nor smiling. "Well, um...I'm going to attend the boss's wedding. My colleagues are all going, and it wouldn't be good if I didn't go. I still have to work with her in the future." Rose replied. Perhaps her words convinced Brandon, as his expression softened slightly and he squinted his eyes in thought before nodding. "I'll have the driver take you there. Call me if you need anything." Taking Rose's phone, he typed in his number. Since he had said that, Rose didn't dare say anything else and could only nod. "Okay." The Imperial Hotel. The wedding photos at the entrance of the hotel caught people's attention, and the banner above the hotel read "Congratulations to Mr. Gary Harold and Miss Christina Jones on their wedding." A row of luxurious cars outside the hotel caught the attention of passersby. Rose stood at the entrance, looking up at the glaring words above her head. A bitter smile appeared on her face. Her beloved man was now someone else's husband, and she could only watch as he married Christina Jones, unable to do anything. Half an hour before the wedding began, the hall was filled with guests, and the dazzling lights above covered the entire hotel, displaying its luxuriousness. "Hey, isn't this the groom's ex-girlfriend? He doesn't want you anymore, so you're trying to steal him at the wedding?" The sharp voice silenced the entire hall, and countless scornful eyes fell on Rose, making her feel uneasy. Looking towards the source of the voice, Rose's gaze darkened. She recognized this woman, Christina's best friend, Sophia Robinson, who was also a spoiled rich kid born with a silver spoon in her mouth. The Robinson family operated many supermarket chains in Madison, and Sophia had always been arrogant and overbearing, having been spoiled by her parents since childhood. She had once come to the company to find Christina, and when an employee accidentally bumped into her, her coffee spilled all over her dress, which made her furious and caused her to create a big scene. Water was splashed on the employee, and she was slapped more than ten times in public before Sophia was appeased. Rose's clear gaze surveyed Sophia, with fair skin, delicate cheeks, thick eyebrows, and big eyes. She was wearing a short, pink colored skirt, and her hair was carefully styled. Her figure was slender and tall, accentuated by a fifteen-centimeter high heels. Judging from her attire, she was probably Christina's bridesmaid. "Steal the groom? Sophia, you're underestimating me. How can my man be taken by such a lowly woman?" Before Rose could speak, another voice came over. Looking up, Rose took a step back in realization. Her inherent sense of nobility made her appear even more humble compared to the other person. Christina dragged her long wedding dress over to Rose, flicked her hair with delicate fingers, and sarcastically said, "You really dared to show up?" Christina was a head taller than Rose. The closer she got, the more oppressed Rose felt. She lowered her head and tried to force out a smile. "Today is Manager Christina's wedding. Everyone from the department is here, so how could I not come?" "Hmph!" Christina snorted disdainfully, looking down on Rose arrogantly. "As long as you know it's my wedding today, you can go find a place to sit. But I advise you to behave." Rose nodded and spared her to go to the seating area meant for her department. After walking a few steps, she ran into Gary. He was wearing an expensive, black suit, and his already 1.8-meter-tall frame appeared even more slender and handsome. Looking at his familiar face, Rose's heart ached sharply. She forced a smile and said, "Congratulations." Gary glanced at her clothes and his pupils shrank slightly. He sneered, "You hooked up with someone else as soon as we broke up? You're something." Rose looked up at him incredulously, "What did you say?"
