I was proposed to by a billionaire after my boyfriend cheated on me.

"Rose, now that I've found you, I won't let you leave again."

"What do you mean?" Rose asked, confused.

Smiling, Brandon unbuttoned the collar of his shirt and pointed to the scratches and kiss marks on his body, saying, "You have to take responsibility for me."

CHAPTER 1 Take Responsibility For Me
Rose Hudson looked at the man in front of her with love in her eyes. She felt dizzy and her vision was blurry. However, she found the scent of the man in front of her familiar. In a fit of passion, she subconsciously wrapped her arms around his waist and nestled in his embrace, murmuring sweet nothings, "Gary I know you won't leave me." The man's footsteps faltered for a moment. He looked down at the woman in his arms, who was closing her eyes in shyness. His expression turned momentarily cold, his eyebrows furrowed slightly, his thin lips slightly parted, and his voice was husky and low as he said, "Don't worry, I won't leave you." Upon hearing his answer, Rose's lips curved into a sweet smile, and she held his hand tightly. "I want you so much." The man paused for a moment, his body aroused by her words. His deep pupils tightened as he lifted his feet and began walking toward the hotel. He carried her in his arms and led her into his hotel room, placing her gently on the bed. Rose held onto the collar of his shirt, refusing to let him go, and pulled him toward her until their lips touched. In the morning, the dazzling light shone into the room, enveloping the sleeping beauty in a golden glow. Rose opened her eyes, rubbed her aching head, and looked around the room with a stunned expression. "You're awake?" A magnetic voice rang into her ears. She sat up suddenly and stared at the man sitting across from her in horror. Her face changed from one expression to another, and she exclaimed in surprise, "Sir?" At the same time, she looked around at her surroundings, completely bewildered. What was going on? Why was she in a hotel room with the newly appointed CEO of the company she worked in? "Okay." The man responded indifferently, then placed two of his fingers on his earpiece and said, "Do as I say, and I'll sign the contract at the company." After ending his call, the man got up and poured a glass of water for her. He sat beside her and said with a hint of indulgence, "You drank too much yesterday." Yesterday? Rose was slightly stunned, and the fragmented pieces slowly came to mind. Yesterday, her boyfriend of three years suddenly broke up with her, and no matter how much she tried to save the relationship, Gary Harold remained unmoved. Gary told her that he was marrying Christina Jones tomorrow, and he came to inform her just the day before the wedding. Christina, a well-known socialite, whose father was the director of the Jones Enterprise and uncle was the chairman. She had everything that Rose could never surpass in her life because Rose was just a small employee of the Jones Enterprise. When Gary left, he only left her with a few words, "Rose, you are an orphan and a small employee. You cannot give me everything I want. With Christina Jones, I can have it all so, get lost." He left Rose heartbroken and she went to a bar alone and got drunk. She felt someone carrying her out of the bar and thought it was Gary who had a change of heart, but it turned out to be the newly appointed CEO. She secretly looked up at him and couldn't believe it. The CEO actually remembered her as a small employee, even though on his first day in office, she only reported the quarterly data in the meeting. Thinking about this, she couldn't help but feel puzzled. The CEO position had been vacant for a long time, and it was only recently announced that Brandon Jones would take on the role. She heard that he was the only son of the Jones family, who had been living abroad for many years. His father who was the chairman had tried many times to bring him back to take over the company, but to no avail. On her second day at the Jones Enterprise, Brandon suddenly returned. Rumor had it that this only son of the Jones family was cold-blooded, ruthless, cruel, and had many women around him. He was extremely powerful and did not care about anyone or anything. As long as he was not satisfied, he never showed any mercy. Even his biological father could not make any decisions for him. But the rumors seemed to be just rumors. Brandon, whom Rose was looking at, at the moment, didn't seem to be someone who was like that. He was very handsome, with distinct facial features. He had thick eyebrows, sexy green eyes, a perfectly chiseled face, and his smile was warm like the sunshine. She had seen him twice, and both times he had smiled at her with a calm voice that didn't make her feel scared or uncomfortable. But... Yesterday, they... Nothing happened, right? Thinking about it, she quickly looked down and her face immediately became ugly. Although she was wearing clothes, they were not her clothes. What was going on? After changing her expression for a long time, she finally lowered her head and asked in a small voice, "Sir, my clothes..." "You got your clothes dirty from vomiting yesterday, so I had the service staff change your clothes," Brandon pointed to the bags on the bedside table and said gently, "I had some new clothes bought for you this morning." Seeing her stunned, his mouth curved slightly into a beautiful arc. He got up and rubbed her head, saying indulgently, "Get dressed, I'll take you to eat." "Eat...eat?" Rose suddenly looked up at him incredulously. Did the CEO want to eat with her? Or did she hear it wrong? It couldn't be. She was just a small employee. Last night, Brandon must have been concerned about the personal safety of one of his employees and was afraid she would be taken advantage of. Seeing her alone and vulnerable at a bar and choosing to help her was understandable. But now, wanting to have a meal with her didn't make sense. "I drank a lot yesterday so, not eating will hurt my stomach." Rose thought. Ignoring her random thoughts, Brandon opened the bag next to him, looked inside for a few moments, and finally picked out a set of clothes that he was satisfied with and handed them to Rose, "Wear this set." Looking at the price tag on the clothes, Rose's eyes widened. $80,000 She had never worn such an extravagant piece of clothing in her life. Her monthly salary was only a few hundred dollars and she spent it all on Gary. She had never even bought clothes over a hundred dollars, let alone something worth tens of thousands. Putting down the clothes, Rose frowned and looked up, staring straight into his deep pupils. "I'll just wear my own clothes, thank you for your kindness, Mr. Jones." Ignoring her rejection, Brandon raised his hand to look at his watch and said in a low voice, "I have a meeting at ten o'clock. After we finish eating, I'll buy you some daily necessities and have my driver take you to my house. You drank last night and don't need to go to the company today. Rest at home, and I'll come back after I'm done." "Go to your house? Rest at home?" Rose was so surprised that she immediately stood up. "I didn't say I want to go to your place, Mr. Jones. Did you misunderstand something?" "I'll be waiting for you downstairs." His tone was unquestionable, and Rose didn't even have the opportunity to refuse before Brandon turned around and left. When he reached the door, he suddenly stopped and looked back at her, his mouth slightly upturned. "Rose, now that I've found you, I won't let you leave again." "What do you mean?" Rose asked, confused. Smiling, Brandon unbuttoned the collar of his shirt and pointed to the scratches and kiss marks on his body, saying, "You have to take responsibility for me."
