Dahnya’s POV:
Our afternoon outdoors was loads of fun. We are just about to put out the fire and head back in time to get ready for dinner. We all smell like marshmallows and smoke. The kids had a decent fire going by the time we showed up, and Anthony kept a diligent eye on them until Levi and I eventually joined the party.
I watched Joshua and Brie this afternoon. They are best friends, but she seems so taken with him, even at their young pre-teen age. I wonder if they will turn out to be mates. And, what if they are not? My mind wandered to Reileen more often than I cared to admit. She was Levi’s childhood friend.
