Chapter 15 – Bad Timing

Hey guys chuck us a like or follow if you have time xx Emily’s voice stern and tight. “That is enough! Madison can speak to us when and only… if she wants to. Nobody is to hear of this, nobody!” Everyone falling into silence, the doctor was clear on the fact that the meeting was very much over. Slowly stepping back as if facing a vicious animal, he backed up before turning and walking away slowly. Emily disappearing into Madison’s room, she took Byron with her by the hand as the twins took a few minutes. Needing to get back to their office, they had pressing matters to deal with not least of which was now Lasher pack’s situation. Making a move for the exit, they knew they needed to get as much work done as possible before Madison woke up. They needed to be there to spend time with her when she woke, to make sure she was okay. To them I did not matter if she had chose to leave, she also chose to come back. This time they would make sure she had the support she needed from them, from her family. Hearing recent comments from Gemma only strengthened their resolve to make changes. Madison was badly treated by Gemma and the entire pack knew it. For sure she had also done and said things she should not have, but from the start she had welcomed Gemma. And Gemma threw it back in her face, it was the beginning of Madison’s rebellious stage. It started the periods of time where Madison heavily evaded them. In all honesty they knew their mate could have been the beginning of what caused her to leave, but Gemma was their mate. At the time their the pull to her was still so strong, they could have never blamed or got upset with her. Emily’s head popping out from the door of Madison’s room. “I don’t care if she is now Luna of this pack, she does not find out anything!” “Mother… be nice. We have kept a lot from her already. We have kept her out of everything as you asked. She has hardly been at the hospital and is trying her best.” Ardon’s voice level, he and Caleb both turned to leaving the building. Gemma may have been a pain, but she was still their mate and they would treat her as such. Upon opening the door to their office, the phone was already ringing. Caleb taking quickened foot steps forward, he reached for the phone answering just before the line had cut off. Caleb speaking - Caleb Atkins – Alpha… I have been trying to get hold of you all day. Atkins… yes I apologize for missing your calls, we have been having some family difficulties. You want us to house some of the found wolves here I heard? - Caleb Atkins – Yes we found four more houses and a warehouse from information recovered at the first sight, we have over a hundred wolves to place. Alpha Arc has been quite dedicated to this cause. Over a hundred wolves? - Caleb Atkins – mmm, I know it’s a lot. Many are inseparable. I know it is not what we discussed previously, but we have spoken to a few packs and each are setting up a hall for temporary accommodation. Each pack is taking on one facilities worth of wolves until we can decide what needs to be done. You have the largest medical unit. We would like you to take the wolves found in the warehouse. It would be housing of 26 wolves, young ones. Many in their early teens, even some males. Some have not yet had their first shift. Knowing that declining was not really an option at this point, Ardon and Caleb were bound to assist and help the wolves in need. Atkins agreeing to have them brought over in the next few days, Ardon and Caleb were resigned to helping with this matter. These were not rogues, many of these young wolves would have been stolen from their packs, taken. It was disgusting, and in their minds almost frightening that something like this could have gotten so big without packs being aware. They owed their packs allegiance and support. With luck and patience, there was also a good chance they could return many of these children back to their original packs and families. This was all just bad timing. The fact that Madison had just returned, not to mention her current state. This atrocity committed in their world that would no doubt take up huge amounts of time and resources. Not even to mention the fact that Gemma would all but lose her mind when she found out they were housing many of the victims on their land. Another fight they wished to avoid, though maybe if they explained, she would understand. “You’re What! I already told them no! You are going to make me the laughing stock of all the packs. Make it seem like I have no power and my words count for nothing.” Even after explaining the situation, Gemma was not impressed as her body shook while maintaining their gaze. Her voice rising still, “you both don’t care about me at all! Not even when I…” Cutting her own words off, Gemma’s teeth gritted together as she dodged their incoming hands wanting to pull her in for a hug. All but running from the office door, Ardon and Caleb were left almost speechless. Both having had the same thought, we should have approached this differently. Hey guys I hope you enjoy the chapter.
