It's Raining Emerald

So please enjoy and sorry if there are mistakes.)     Emerald     Today, August 23th, marks the 10th anniversary of my parents death. I placed the bouquet down on their grave and ran my fingers across their names. I don’t really remember their deaths but my grandmother says that they died quickly in the car accident. I sharply turned my head to the sky as I heard thunder in the distance. It started to drizzle down hitting my shoulders as I rushed to my car. While I was driving the rain got harder, hitting the windshield louder and louder. The sound of the windshield wipers sped up as I pulled into the driveway.     As I walked through the door to the kitchen, I was greeted with a warm hug and the smell of freshly baked cookies. My mother used to make them whenever it rained to cheer me up.     “I made them because I heard that it might rain today.” My grandmother said.     I picked one up off the rack and took a bite, though I suspect she made them to commemorate my mom on this day. It did make me feel a little bit better as I devoured two more. I sat down on the couch and my grandmother took a seat next to me. I was about to turn on the tv when my grandmother took the remote.     “We need to talk about something.” She said with a serious face.     “What’s up?” I was getting a little concerned, “Is everything alright?”     “I need to tell you something about your parents and I need you not to freak out.”     “Ok what is it?”     “Ok” She took a deep breath, “Your parents were werewolves.”     “You’re kidding right?”     “No, I’m serious. I adopted your mother, as you know, and I later found out that she was a werewolf when she shifted on her 16th birthday. Two years later when your mom met your dad, her mate, she joined his pack and became their Luna. On this day, 10 years ago, their pack was massacred by an army of rogue werewolves.That day, I was visiting and your parents told me to get you to safety.”     “This is a joke, right? Werewolves, packs, mates, all of this can’t possibly be real.”     “Unfortunately, my dear, it is. I’m telling you this because on your 18th birthday, you will find your soulmate.”     “Soulmate!? Does that make me a...werewolf?”
