EMILE
The legend, home to a book that was written over a century ago. "Hera, you do realize this is something someone wrote in a book before any of us were born? Surely that's just some silly poem someone made up. We've had issues with all other beings in the realm for decades, what would the legend have to do with anything we have going on now? Besides, this could just be a coincidence. Karielle doesn't have a mate, or glowing eyes for that matter." I retorted. She needs to pay attention to the things she says, Karielle is new to a lot of this as she hasn't been out in the real world, nor has she ever heard of some legend that people wrote forever ago, no point in stressing her out more than what she already feels considering what she just witnessed. "Emile, do you not realize the changes that have happened? Karielle is so different already, just look at her!" Hera throws her arms up towards Karielle, tapping her foot on the floor with her drawn out attitude, she always has to be right of course. "And the vampire. What about him? Hmm?" I have to keep her from spewing anything further, I'm sure Kari has heard enough. "Hera, please come here for a second." I wave her over to me next to the farthest wall in the room, while Karielle is still standing over the window on the other side, trying to figure out how the bloodsucker got up so fast to leave. She comes close to me, and I whisper in her ear. "You do realize she has a lot on her plate already, right? Not only that, but the poor girl is still reeling from what just happened. Hell, even we don't understand what just happened!" Hera heaves the breath she's been holding. "Yes Emile, I understand that. But don't you get it? Or are you too slow to understand?! Karielle is already matching part of the legend. What if it's her and its real? What are you gonna do then?" I look at her, and the answer is obvious. "We cross that bridge when we get there Hera, until then lets try to figure out what the hell just happene.." I halt my words suddenly as we both look over to see Karielle lying on the floor, looking like she's having a seizure. "Quick, lay her on her side." My dad yells, and rushes over to help us roll her over. "What do we do? Dad!" I'm scared, I've never seen anyone have a seizure or go through something like this before, this is new to me. "Just wait son, she will come out of it when it's over." He tells me, and it doesn't calm me down much. "Is she okay?" Hera asks, looking just as frightened as I'm feeling. "She will be fine, sometimes it just takes a few minutes for a body to wake back up after their convulsion is over." He tells us, and I'm wondering how he would know any of this, my dad isn't a doctor, nor someone who is medically informed. "Dad, how do you even know about seizures?" Im confused, I've never seen my dad help anyone with anything like this before, let alone have the knowledge to know she will be alright. "Son, before I became Alpha, My mother used to have seizures frequently. She had them because my father abused her, and that is part of the reason I challenged him for my position. My dad was a strict, hateful man. The day my mother died, she succumbed from the beating my father gave her. She had a seizure shortly before she passed." Oh my God. My grandmother died from my grandfather hurting her? I'm starting to think maybe I don't know about my dad as much as I thought I had, but maybe he just isn't willing to talk about those things, they would be hard for me too had I ever been in his position. I'm not sure I could kill my own father. That had to be traumatizing for him, but he acts so calm and collected you would never know anything of the sort happened in his past. "I'm sorry dad. I didn't know." I tell him before I look down at the floor, feeling guilty that I've never even asked him of much of his life before me. That's my fault, I should have taken the time to know him as a person before he became a father. He is his own person after all.
We all sit patiently waiting and hoping Kari would wake fine, just like my dad said. We sit staring at her for a few minutes, when she starts to open her eyes. She looks over to me, then Hera, and I know there's something more to this, as the look in her face mirrors what she must be feeling on the inside.
KARIELLE
I see a woman, and she has long dark hair like me. Not a woman that I've seen before I'm sure of it, as I would have recognized the features of her face. She's talking to another woman that looks to resemble her while sitting on a wooden bench, both of them surrounded by a beautiful garden. I hear the frantic voice of the first woman, but I can't exactly make out the words vibrating off of her lips. The second woman looks as if she doesn't know what to say, at a standstill on how to approach the woman before her. The conversation seems dire, but it's like a scene played out in slow motion, I just can't figure out what's going on between them. I walk up and go to tap the second woman on her shoulder as she was closer to me. What the heck? My hand goes straight through her, as if I'm a type of ghost or something. This can't be real, can it? I walk around her to get to the first woman, and again, my hand goes through her being as well. Am I dead? No, that can't be it, as I'm sure that Celenara, the Moon Goddess, would be here to collect me if that were the case. Am I dreaming? That explanation seems more plausible. The last thing I remember is, Wait, the Vampire! Could this be something related to that? I'm not so sure, if this had something to do with the vampire that attacked, there would be other vampires here, right? Each supernatural sticks to their own species, and neither of these women have those cold bloodshot red piercing eyes that I witnessed while in my hospital room, so no, that can't be it. I start to see the first woman sob, as if she's in some kind of predicament. She starts to say something else, but this time I hear the words that she speaks. "She's your blood! You can't let this happen! We all will die!" What is she spewing? Who will die? I try to get a little closer, now knowing they can't see me because I'm obviously see through like a ghost, the same ones they talk about in those horror movies Hera talks about. I don't know if I could watch anything of the sort, who wants to watch people die, and all the blood, ewww. "Thank you, thank you! We can't tell anyone, not until the time is right and I know it's what we need to do." I hear the first woman say to the other woman, still in the same conversation. "Come on, we have to go." The second woman says, and as they walk away I notice a third woman to my left, perched behind the bushes, hidden and watching their every move.
I open my eyes to see Emile, Hera, and Alpha Christian holding onto me, and I'm laying on my side. I look Emile in his eyes first, and then Hera, I have to explain to them the dream I just had. It has to mean something right? I've never had anything like this happen to me, but things have been so weird lately I dont know what to expect. Emile and HEra can both see the conflict in my eyes. "Karielle, you're awake!" Hera shouts, and wraps her arms around me in a tight hug. "You scared us, for the second time, Kari. My dad says you were having a seizure, and that you would wake up on your own. We didn't know what to expect." Emile says, breathing a sigh of relief. "You feeling okay, kiddo?" Alpha Christian asks me, and I feel fine. Maybe a little heavy, but fine. "I'm fine now. You guys won't believe the dream I had. It's crazy because the people that I saw in my dream were not anyone I've ever witnessed with my own eyes before." Alpha Christian looks at me with wide eyes, Hera and Emile looking at him questioningly. "Karielle, are you sure you didn't know them?" He asks, and I still feel the same, Ive never saw them before. "Not anyone that I remember coming across, why?" I ask, trying to understand his question. "Karielle, I think you had a vision. Please, tell us what you saw."
