A Mother's Love

1690 Words
KARIELLE I find myself walking barefoot through the fallen leaves on the forest floor, surrounded by the uniqueness of nature and all that comes with it. There are birds tweeting while rustling through the branches of the trees in all their peculiar beauty, crickets chirping, and the sound of all the eccentric animals running through the bushes and trails that surround me. I look up to see the quiet night sky, so black but comforting, the stars and the moon illuminating my path through the woods. I can hear the sound of the river flowing in the distance in front of me, the contents of it irrevocably dark but like a mirror, reflecting the light from above like its own little heaven. I stop walking and close my eyes, enjoying the calm and tranquility that is our Mother Earth. I'm quickly interrupted by the voice calling out my name, and open my eyes to see the clearing ahead. I'm drawn closer by the gentle nature of the voice and follow it's melody. Once I step through the clearing to the other side, there's an exquisite woman sitting on a bench surrounded by this graceful glow, almost like an angel in her own right. She had black hair to her waist that had a colorful shine with purple and blue reflects, like the deep sky in the middle of the night. She was wearing this long, silk, white and beautiful dress that flowed with a train dragging against the ground behind her, it hugged her astronomical form with every movement she made. She taps the spot next to her on the bench, and my body moves on its own accord. "Hello my child, My name is Celenara Moon. I am your Goddess, I brought you here, and I came to guide you." "Bu.. But how did I get here? the last thing I remember is going to the hospital with Emile and his father, did I die?" I ask her, scared of the answer I may receive. "No my darling, you are in my cosmic realm of the moon." Celenara chuckled. I don't know how to react, and instead ask the hard questions that I desperately need answers to. "Why am I here, Celenara? I have many of questions to ask you, like why you left me, one of your precious children, to suffer at another's hands." That came out more ill-mannered than I had intended, but it doesn't phase her one bit. "My beneficent girl, I'm merely here to help. To answer your question, my dear, I know it seems harsh, but you have to go through your fate. I may be the all mother of the supernatural, but even I cannot interfere with the fate of all kind. Changing destiny can have dire consequences, and I am not excluded from that. Everyone has a path to follow, and this is apart of yours." She retorted in that melodic voice that soothes the inner depths of my soul, tearing away at my anger into a burning love for the breathtaking beauty next to me. Celenara stands up, and at the wave of her hand invites me to join her. We start to walk through the celestial garden of moonflowers and fuschia orchids blooming even further as we walk past. "You see, my love, this is the way it has to be. I cannot give you answers to all that you seek, you have to go through your own tribulations to find what you're looking for. However, when you were but a newborn whom had just been relieved of your mother's womb, I had to visit your mother in a dream. That started the domino of what has become life as you know it today. That day, 16 years ago, your mother had to make one of the hardest decisions of her life. She had to relinquish you in spite of her and your father's love so unconditional, to protect you and everyone around them. In order for her to do that, she had to wipe away her pride and let you be raised as another's child, and it's not the person you may think. I applied a veil over her mind to show her the fate in which would happen if something was not decided the way that fate demanded. My child, your mother and father would have been murdered had they followed their hearts, but they decided to do what was best for you and the rest of the supernatural Realm. You are a very important factor in all of our world, and you will find out just why you are needed one day. Until then, please trust the journey that you are following. The answers will come when they're meant to." Celenara finished, and I'm speechless by her monologue. I never expected there to be a dire reason behind my life, but surely I'm starting to understand. I was born for an important reason, as she said. I renounce my thoughts and decide to ask the burning question that has been bothering me since Emile informed me of the truth behind my life in his pack. "All Luna, who is my mother and father?" She didn't answer right away, she just looked down and sighed sadly. "That is not an answer I can provide you, it is up to you to find the answer. Everything that you're expecting will come in time. You are entranced with my presence so I can help show you the way, and ease your backlash to the position that you are in. You will be a stepping stone for every single ethereal being in the realm, and it is your prerogative to change your life among everyone elses. I apologize to speak in riddles, but you will know all you need to, and at that point it'll all come together. It's now time for you to get back love, as those around you are starting to get worried. Remember what I said, your destiny is awaiting. Use those around you to accomplish your feat, and everything will make sense in the end. I'm always watching, and I'll be there with you every step of the way. One more thing, don't be surprised by the difference when you wake up. Goodbye, until next time, my child." Celenara started to disappear before me, and my short lived peace was gone. I woke up covered in sweat. Emile, his father, Hera and Mylo surround me, and I can see the worry in the way they're looking at me. I try to sit up as fast as I can but I'm stopped by an arm blocking my movement. "Kari, we thought we were losing you, you just wouldn't wake up!" Hera cried out. "You were supposed to wake up once you were given the meds to counteract the sleeping remedy, but there was nothing but silence and no movement at all. We only had hope because you were still breathing, but you scared us to death!" I can tell in Hera's voice how worried she was about me, but all I can do is assure her and everyone else that I'm fine. "I had the weirdest dream, the Moon Goddess was there. She said her name is Celenara and that I have to follow the path that I'm given to fulfill my destiny. Everything I've been handed is apart of my journey, and I have to trust it. There's a reason we are brought together, after all." I tell them, and they seem starstruck and unwilling to believe my words, all the while staring at me weirdly. "So you're telling me, the moon goddess actually came to visit you, and not any of us?" Emile challenged my story. "Well yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. How long have I been sleeping?" I ask, not realizing that I have no idea what day it is. "Karielle, You've been sleeping for 4 days!" Alpha Christian answers me, and I immediately sit up "WHAT?! You mean to tell me it's not still the same night we came in?" "No Kari, its been days. We were so worried about you. We also have something to tell you, but first, we need to see if you're able to stand up." Hera said to me, and Emile stepped in "I think it's better if we show her, she'll understand better than just telling her." Hera grabs my arm, and waits for me to try and get up out of the hospital bed. My body feels sore, but what else should I expect from sleeping for 4 days in a row. I almost fall, twice, but once I'm able to stand on my own 2 legs without feeling like I'll collapse to the floor, Hera directs me to follow her to the bathroom, and I'm anxious to what everyone is so apt to show me. She opens the door and turns on the light switch and walks me over to the mirror above the sink. I take a look at myself, and to my surprise, I don't recognize the woman looking back at me. She has long, deep black hair with a single royal purple streak on each side of the front of her hair. The woman I remember had brown hair with a single blonde streak. What happened in the last 4 days that made me so different than the woman I was when I fell asleep? "Do you see what we mean and why we were scared for you? This right here is every reason to believe your story of meeting the moon goddess, how else would this big of a change happen so fast? You're like a whole new person!" Hera stared at me in wonder, and I had no idea on how to respond. All I could do is stare at the new woman in the mirror, and find out why I've changed so drastically in a matter of days. "I don't know what happened, Hera, but there's a reason for everything. As Moon Goddess said, we'll find our answers in time. All we have to do is work together.
