Intuition

QUEEN MOIRA I awaken to that same feeling I felt all those years ago, on the very night my baby girl was born. I quickly sit up in bed, my husband still sound asleep and snoring next to me. What was that? It felt like a jolt of lightning had made its way through every inch of my being, the shock of it like a burning pit in my stomach. I felt it leaving just as quickly as it had come, and only then could I catch my breath again. The night my true daughter was born, I felt it. It was so strange and warming at the same time, but also terribly frightening because I was unaware of its meaning, and I'm still no closer to understanding. It's not like feelings come with a handbook. It's one of those things we have to trust our gut on, and I'm really hoping it's not just a coincidence. The same night the feeling came last time, I had the dream. The images flashing before my eyes would always be engrained in my mind. *Flashback* "Sebastian, Not now you horny wolf!" I gripe and push at my husband's shoulders as he continues kissing down my neck, setting a flame throughout a certain sweet spot between my thighs. "Why? I thought you love it when I do this?" He says cockily with a smile, gently licking and nipping at my ear, cold chills making their way to the hairs on the back of my neck, standing at attention. I had to stop this before it got started, or else we wouldn't make it to our own event. My husband has no shame in showing how much he wants me, and I love it, but today is the day we formally announce our daughter and future Queen. I know some members are aware of her birth, but she deserves a big welcome, for us to show the pride we have in our first babygirl. We have to celebrate our blessing. I had to walk away from Sebastian and head towards our ensuite bathroom, ready for a cold shower. That'll wake me up and get rid of the remnants of desire that we were just feeling moments ago. After turning the knobs to my current preferred temperature, I jump in and let the cool water run down my achingly hot body. After reaching for my favorite coconut sugar shampoo and conditioner, I get started lathering one after the other to my long dark hair. I remove the showerhead to rinse the soap off of my body, and grab a towel from the warmer. Stepping out, I hurriedly dry off and wrap the towel snug around me, and head for the door to my bedroom. Sebastian is gone, assuming he went to get ready for the day. I walk over to the bed, my dress and short stilettos all ready for me to put on. My assistant, Jenny walks in followed by 2 of our omegas to help get me ready and fix my makeup and hair. After Jenny directs them, she leaves the room to make sure things are in line for our celebration. Harley, one of my usual omegas, grabs my dress off the bed and starts to mold it over my body. The dress is a long Deep red blood color, with a strapless sweetheart bodice overlay in gold lace, adorned in swarovski crystals, that flows down to my waistline and stops. We decided to match it with a pair of strappy, glittery gold 4.5 inch stilettos that have a deep red tassel down the top of the shoe. Once my dress is fitted to my form, I throw on the heels and sit at my vanity, makeup and hair pins already laid out before me. Jesse, the second omega, starts on my hair. I love her style, as she can always turn the most basic updo's into a beautiful masterpiece. While my hair is being tended, Harley starts on my makeup. She decides to do A gold neutral cut crease, with black liner and a deep red lip to match my outfit. When she's finished, I stand up to look in the mirror. Jesse gave me a slick look, with a part in the middle and an updo full of curls. I notice the maroon and gold hairpins that shine bright every time the light hits them. Sebastian walks in with Karielle in his arms, and I thought I seen a bit of drool coming down the side of his mouth. It made me giggle to see his googly eyes looking me up and down. "Are you ready my sexy mate? I will never stop thanking the Goddess for mating us, you're perfect." He says as he walks up to peck my lips. My man looks delicious in his Black tux and black button up, with a deep red and gold intricately designed tie and handkerchief to accent our colors. I wave for him to lead the way, and follow him down the stairs and head to the back entrance that leads out to our venue for events. Milandra and Elliott are already there, guests already starting to arrive. I look around to see our beautifully decorated event, maroon and gold everywhere, I'll have to thank Jenny for it later. In the meantime, we walk around the land to greet our guests. We settle everyone down, and take our walk to the stage. Sebastian walking ahead of me while I carry our baby, her dress longer than her, and a mix betweeen mine and Sebastian's outfit. Black with maroon and gold lining, she contrasts my dress while lying in my arms. We walk up our makeshift stage, a big black platform to accommodate our guests, no matter how many, so they can have a view of us while making our announcements. You can picture a stage at an outdoor concert for reference, because that is what we had envisioned when creating our space. There are hundreds of chairs lined up in front of us, maroon in color with gold ribbons tied around the backs, guests in just about every chair. My husband grabs the mic from the mic stand, and walks center stage. "Greetings, you have no idea how much it means for you to support us in our endeavors, and now we have someone to follow in our footsteps. We can't thank you enough for joining us in welcoming our precious baby girl, and future Heiress, Karielle Amara DeAtlas." The King shouts, and everyone erupts in cheer, clapping and howling for our girl. My husband takes Karielle from my hands, and holds her up in the air for everyone to see, before handing her back to me. He goes to get back on the mic, when we start to see a hoard of dark figures flying across the sky coming right at us. "Vampires!" the guests start shouting while pointing to the cloaked beings. Everyone is in a frenzy trying to run while our warriors and those who are able to fight line up as our front defense, shoving us behind them. I yell for Sebastian as he takes off towards the first vampire to land, Shifting midair into his overly sized midnight wolf. Did I mention he gained a wolf when we marked eachother? I scream for him to come back, but he doesn't adhere to my words as he lets his fangs seep into the vile being who dared to antagonize what was supposed to be, a congratulatory celebration. His teeth are gripped tightly as he shakes his head, playing with his prey before tearing its throat out and letting it fall to the ground with a hard thump, the light going out of its eyes as Sebastian spits the throat out to the side of him, He starts to go for another one when he doesn't realize the figure suddenly coming up behind him "Sebastian look out!" I scream as loud as I can, My voice breaking. The figure has this long silver sword, and I watch him impale it through my husbands back going all the way through his chest as he drops to his knees, Looking back at me. I saw him mouth I'm sorry before I took off running towards our safety bunkers, a door hidden in stone to protect our women and children. As I'm running I see Milandra and Elliott both get their heads ripped off at once, before the lowly vampire threw their severed bodies to the side, dropping them like they meant absolutely nothing. I look back to the front of me as one of these vile beings halts my trek, and rips my baby from my arms before impaling me with the same sword that just took my husband's life right before my eyes. I look around to see the dozens of pack members that litter the ground, and they're not getting back up. I lay on the grass, screaming bloody loud while the vampires hold their ears. I lay there lifeless, whispering to my babygirl in the mans arms in front of me how sorry I am and how I had failed her. I breathe my last breath and succumb to the darkness that called me. END OF FLASHBACK Moon Goddess was right, had Sebastian and I not made the destined decision that we did, we would have lost Karielle a lot earlier, ending our lives in the process. I hop out of bed to go and take a shower, deciding I would do a bit of my own research. If my instincts are correct, and the feeling I just received means what I think it does, my baby is out there, just waiting for us to find her. Once I'm dressed, I quietly walk out of the room so not to interrupt my husband's slumber, and head down to the kitchen for an early breakfast. Jenny is out of town for a family visit, and I've made up my mind. I just hope Sebastian agrees with us calling a certain Alpha for help.
